I Sudd MM propongono un repertorio inedito in lingua siciliana che, a partire dalla tradizione popolare, si racconta con un moderno linguaggio musicale, pervaso di contaminazioni di vari generi (World, Dub, Hip-Hop, Soul,…).
Tale linguaggio, e le sonorità mediterranee che lo pervadono, vengono inoltre utilizzati per rivisitare, con originali arrangiamenti, alcuni brani del panorama musicale nazionale ed internazionale.
I singoli componenti vantano collaborazioni con grandi artisti (Lucio Dalla, Subsonica, Africa Bambataata, Claudio Baglioni, Jimmy Bo Horne, ecc.)
Il grande impatto sonoro diventa emozione visibile attraverso la danza, in un coinvolgente ed energico spettacolo sempre colto e raffinato, che parte dalla Sicilia e diviene scambio tra culture diverse.
I Sudd MM sono stati l’unica band italiana ospite al WOMAD U.K. e del WOMAD SICILY 2008, la più importante rassegna di world music al mondo, ideata da Peter Gabriel e organizzata dalla Real World.
Sia nel 2007 che nel 2008 sono stati ospiti del COUS COUS FEST, noto evento internazionale, a San Vito Lo Capo (TP), e dal 2006 sono impegnati nelle repliche del musical SCIROCCU.
Il 2008 vede il loro esordio discografico, il CD “SUDD”, che contiene composizioni scritte, arrangiate ed eseguite dai musicisti della band.

SUDD proposes a modern language permeated by different kind of music (world, dub, hip-hop, soul). This language, and the Mediterranean sounds that characterize it, are used to re-interpret some of the best national and international sound tracks via original arrangement. By chance, many important and individual development paths and a common experience in other projects converge altogether into the elements of the band. The members of SUDD have collaborated with great national and international music artists (Lucio Dalla, Subsonica, Africa Bambataata, Claudio Baglioni, Jimmy Bohorn, ecc.). The great feeling between all the elements of the band guarantees a show rich of energy and a great musical impact. On top of Anita Vitale (voice, piano, accordion), the band is also made of Vito De Canzio (voice), Mario Incudine (voice and acoustic instruments), Giulia Cristofalo (voice), Piero Vasile (violin), Daniele Bonanno (guitar), Mario Caminita (live electronics), Mario Tarsilla (bass), Emanuele Rinella (drums), Rosario Punzo (percussion). The band is also busy, since 2006, with the repeat of the musical SCIROCCU. In it live music, dance and recitation are melted into a single form of communication where every single artist become interpreter and narrator of one single story about a Sicily rich of traditions and emotions and it is narrated through a modern language. This experience come out in the concert of the band where the music meet dance in a highly involving and energetic show, though always cultured and smart that starts from Sicily and become an exchange between different cultures.
