I use the landscape and nature to help compose my music. The stillness and background sounds of life weave through my music. Music can be the soundtrack of an ordinary day and an extraordinary day. The movies that play in our minds can conjure up their own soundtracks.
Music can change the atmosphere of a room or a place or a frame of mind. Although I use folklore and legends and aspects of my own life to trigger each composition. The instrumental aspect of my work is written so that the listener can weave their own images and experiences into each piece..
There is a Celtic theme to my music, although this is not intentional the Landscape of Cornwall does much to bring this about. Currently the violin is my voice although much of my music could be used in film with a full orchestra or with voice. Sue Aston
