I've been a regional radio promoter for 12 years now.
I have been so lucky to spend my whole life working in music...I started my career at a record shop called Graduate Records in the 70s, I had great fun there spending all my money buying records and going to see bands(No change there then)....into the 80s I went to work at Impulse Promotions,we worked on So many hits here are the ones I can remember .........,Musical Youth,Scitti Politti,Haircut100,Flock of Seagulls, Jazzy Jeff, Prince, Kylie Minogue, Jason Donavan,Baby Bird, Shanks and Bigfoot,The Icicle Works,Billy Idol,House of Pain,The Orginal,Take That,Witney Houston The Prodigy,Billy Ocean,Mel and Kim,The Stone Roses,Suede and every Jive/PWL/SAW Hit.And then 12 years ago I moved over from Sales to Regional Radio at Jive Records, and in my six years there I worked with Justin Timberlake, Nsync,Britney Spears, The Tamperer feat Maya,Steps, Backstreet Boys,Groove Armada,Joe,Tribe Called Quest,Goldfinger,Easyworld ,The Stone Roses,Buddy Guy,George Benson,Billy Ocean and R.Kelly...
Next stop was Sony, working Lemar, Anastacia, Bryan McFadden, Destiny's Child, The Mooney Suzuki,The 411,Tom Baxter,Incubus,Faithless,Evanscence,Jeff Buckley,Jill Scott,John Legend,Michael Jackson.The Manic Street Preachers,George Michael, and the Zutons! I then moved to Virgin, promoting KT Tunstall, The Chemical Brothers, Audio Bullys and Turin Brakes.
