My interests of course are drawing and painting and fantasy art work. I
just love working on new paintings. I love working mostly in water
color and mixed media.
I also enjoy teaching my art students. I have many that come to me weekly.
I love gardening and decorating my house big time for every holiday. I find it inspires my art students when they come here for their art classes.
I also enjoy cooking and baking and getting creative in the kitchen.I most always serve a nice home prepared dinner for my hubby and I. I think it's quality time for us to spend together each evening. We both are very creative and busy people and I think it's important to spend time every evening dining together with candle light and all.I'm a hopeless romantic I guess.
I enjoy flower arranging...and I especially enjoy playing my my dog Autumn.
Music
I love all kinds of music. I was raised by a professional musician and everyone in my family is extremely talented and plays and sings .When I paint I seem to mostly enjoy spacey type music. Music I can kind of disappear in..
Movies
I always enjoy a good drama butnot violent. We get enough of that on the news these days. I love good "love" stories and funny movies.FANTASY is my favorite.
Television
I watch mostly the news CNN. I am not the type to sit around all day and watch the boob tube. I'm way too busy painting and teaching and running my home.If there's a good movie on,...maybe I will take that time and relax.
Books
Too many to name. My art room is full of them. I mostly love art books.
Heroes
My Parents and my husband and brothers and sister.

• In 1777, thirteen guns were fired, once at morning and again as evening fell, on July 4 in Bristol, Rhode Island. Philadelphia celebrated the first anniversary in a manner a modern American would find quite familiar: an official dinner for the Continental Congress, toasts, 13-gun salutes, speeches, prayers, music, parades, troop reviews and fireworks. Ships were decked with red, white and blue bunting.
• In 1778, General George Washington marked the Fourth of July with a double ration of rum for his soldiers and an artillery salute. Across the Atlantic Ocean, ambassadors John Adams and Benjamin Franklin held a dinner for their fellow Americans in Paris, France.
• In 1779, July 4 fell on a Sunday. The holiday was celebrated on Monday July 5.
• In 1781, Massachusetts was the first legislature to recognize the Fourth of July.
• In 1783, Moravians in Salem, North Carolina held the first celebration of the Fourth of July in the country with a challenging music program assembled by Johann Friedrich Peter. This work was titled the Psalm of Joy.
• In 1791, the first recorded use of the name "Independence Day".
• In 1870, the U.S. Congress made Independence Day a holiday, albeit unpaid, for federal employees
• In 1941, the U.S. Congress made Independence Day a federal paid holiday. The residents of Vicksburg, Mississippi celebrated the Fourth of July for the first time in 78 years, since the Siege of Vicksburg ended with a Union victory during the American Civil War on July 4, 1863.
From the 2008-2009 Haute Couture collections of several designers... This hat by Italian fashion designer Maurizio Galante is so awesome - and practical! Just substitute real fruits and veggies, and you'll always have a snack handy. Have any of those Christmas tree forms left over? You can make this dress yourself - without the help of designer Jean-Paul Gaultier! Ladies!!! Don't buy the original Karl Lagerfeld (for Chanel)! Just find a picture frame, stick a flower in the corner - and voilà! your own couture chapeau! Ever have one of those bad hair days when you just don't want to be seen? Christian Lacroix understands!!! THIS dress by British designer John Galliano is striking - just what I need for those lawn parties at mansions. What? That's just a background set?? Oh..... Men - Vivienne Westwood hasn't forgotten you!!! You might have to beef up a bit - and get into the water really fast - but what the heck.....
This little darling proudly displays her peace sign for everyone to see, and she has arrived at a time when the world really needs to hear the message she so boldly shares. Kasmira's slavic name means "Commanding Peace", and she was brought into our realm to do just that. She has had enough of the pain & suffering that fighting and war bring, and she has decided to speak out against it. She is here to ask us to remember who WE are. She wants each one of us to "wake up" and realize that we are all connected...we are all childen of the same God...the same Universe. She wants us to open our eyes to the fact that we are all ONE, and give peace a chance. Please help her spread her message of love & peace, and remember that YOU can make a difference!
