In spring of ..95, Johann Strucz played the bass in this Death Metal Band “Dismal”. In June of ..95 Michael changed from the Guitar to the Drums & C. Erras (AKA ETERNAL) became the new vocalist.

In January ..96 the 4 Members called the Band “Suffering Souls” and on March the 16th 1996 they played their first gig in the “Rockkellerkneipe 500” in Amberg.

July of 1996, D. Weigert (AKA INFERNAL) was the new drummer, Michael & ETERNAL screamed the vocals and from now on the band only played Symphonic Black Metal & Tobias Micko got the name “LORD ESGAROTH”. In August of ..96, the band recorded their first Underground Demo “In the Moonshadow of Despair”. In September 1996 LORD ESGAROTH, ETERNAL & INFERNAL got to break away from the other members...

This was the beginning of the new SUFFERING SOULS. September of ..96 LORD ESGAROTH conquerd the vocals and ETERNAL the Synthetics. After a local Gig in October the 31st of 1996 the SOULS OF SUFFERING entered the W.A.S. Studio..s (December the 27th 1996) to record the Song “DARK ANGELS FROM THE FUNERAL ABYSS” for a split 7' for the German Label “Perverted Taste” but the deal failed.

In April..98 they recorded 5 Songs for the first offical Demo “WHEN SILENCE CRIES ETERNALLY” limited to 666 copies at the Majestic Nightrealm Studio. In May 1998 they entered the Majestic Nightrealm Studio again and they recorded a new song “THE THRONE OF THE WEEPING SHADOWS”. Those two songs “DARK ANGELS FROM THE FUNERAL ABYSS” & “THE THRONE OF THE WEEPING SHADOWS” the band never released. In June ..98 the German Label “Noise – V” want to announce the song “THE THRONE OF...” on a split 7', but the deal failed again, because the Label didn't have enough money.

In August 1998 ETERNAL abandon SUFFERING SOULS with the words “This is not my music...”. A few week..s later the Synth Queen “ARCHANGEL” came to the band, and in the mid of November, “AZAZEL” played the bass.

Between January the 9th – 12th 1999 the Band entered the Majestic Nightrealm Studio again. They recorded 3 Songs “AD NOCTUM”, “CRIES OF SILENCE” and “I..M THE ESSENCE OF SIN” for the MCD “CRIES OF SILENCE”. This MCD was released by the German label “NO COLOURS REC.”.

In February, LORD ESGAROTH kicked AZAZEL out of the Band, and GOR MORDOR was the new bass player. The Band started some gigs all over Germany. Between February the 28th 2000 till April the 6th 2000 they entered the Majestic Nightrealm Studio to record their first full lengh Album “TWILIGHT RIPPING SOULS APART” for Cyber Music & PAINKILLER RECORDS in Belgium.

After the recording session & release party from the Album “TWILIGHT RIPPING SOULS APART”, LORD ESGAROTH kicked INFERNAL & ARCHANGEL out from the band. In the mid of 2000, LORD ESGAROTH was writing some new songs for the next album. In May 2001 DEMON BRIDE plays the Synthetics. Gebert Stefan (Guitar) & Erlbacher C. (Drums) only play for a session to record the next album.

In March 2002, Suffering Souls entered a professional local studio in Amberg (MUSIKOMM) to record the 2nd full-lenght Album. After the band recorded “INCARNATED PERFECTION”, Lord Esgaroth kicked out the Fucking JUDAS Gor Mordor (A.Golberg)! SUFFERING SOULS signed at the German Label “DARKWIND REC.” from Düsseldorf and “INCARNATED PERFECTION” was released on September the 22nd 2003.

From 2005 - 2007 Mastermind Lord Esgaroth has been writing new Song-materials. 2008 – 2009 Lord Esgaroth is in the Studio again to record the new album & signed with Schwarzdorn Productions in march of 2009. The third album "Sadistic Goat Complex" is planned for the end of 2009.
