About me:
GEORGE ARTHUR LAREAU: PROFILE OF AN ARTIST . . . .
He’s an artist in almost every medium. He’s a writer and poet, photographer and filmmaker, actor and director, painter and graphic artist, singer and choir master; and when he gets tired of those, he works in alternative reality as a new paradigm metaphysician. . . .
Rarely is creative genius so diverse found in one person. But unlike European artists of old, George Arthur Lareau has not had a patron supporting him. He has found only limited freedom to work as an artist, and most of his energies have been channeled into prosaic pursuits necessary for survival. . . . .
Nonetheless, he has authored 15 books, been recognized as one of the world’s top 1000 media photographers, produced an independent film, sung professionally in a chamber choir, built an advertising agency, acted and directed in college and community theatre, and written financial planning software, just to highlight his accomplishments. . . . .
Discontent with having to work for a living, he rarely stayed on a job for longer than two years—“one year to learn, one year to get bored.” He has also been a printer, social worker, book and magazine editor and publisher, news reporter, administrator, computer consultant, financial planner, and English teacher in Tokyo and Beijing. . . . .
And yet, this only skims the superficial aspects of his life, for his devotion has consistently been directed to understanding the meaning of life. He read over 5000 books in metaphysics, psychology, and comparative religion; experimented with numerous paths to enlightenment; and finally, with the help of modern science, created a dynamic model of consciousness and an awareness theory of reality.
