I love to read. I used to ride horses and would really like to get back to that. I also swim. Shopping is usually fun and movies are too. I write for fun and work, and enjoy spending time with my girls. I also enjoy playing the "What if" game. You know, what if you won the Powerball jackpot? What would you do with the money?
Music
I HAVE to include Harry Connick, Jr. I also like Oldies, Contemporary Country, Opera, Jazz, Easy Listening, Pop, pretty much anything except hip hop, rap, and heavy metal.
Movies
Sunset with James Garner and Bruce Willis! Never Been Kissed, True Lies, Dave, Bourne Identity, Harry Potter I and III, Simply Irresistible, Ella Enchanted, Electric Horseman, American President, Clear and Present Danger, Hope Floats,Funny Girl, Anasastia (Ingrid Bergman), and of course Gone With The Wind and a host of others....
Television
House, NCIS, and Burn Notice. I miss Murphy Brown, Will and Grace, Remington Steele, and WKRP in Cinicinnati!
Books
I'll read just about anything! I took senior-level Shakespeare in college twice because I liked it so much! The professor agreed to teach different plays the second time around just to have me in his class again! But my biggest reading habit is .. romance novels, especially the steamy ones!
Heroes
Naturally Condi Rice, my parents (who still work!), Anita Connick, Lynn Salvaggio, my younger brother's daughters, Oprah, Mother Theresa, Rudy Guilliani, anyone that survived 9-11, and all of our armed services.

You know how your mom told you "I hope you have one just like you"? I got TWO! I'm the proud mom of two 14 year old girls. Both of them attend a school for advanced studies. No, they aren't twins, they are 90 days apart. One is mine biologically and the other daughter we are in the process of adopting. We have been her legal guardians for four years now. They fight like birth sisters and heaven help the person that tries to hurt one of them because they defend each other like birth sisters as well!
I am currently unemployed but have lots of experience as a technical writer. Something will turn up. I truly believe that God has never let me down before and He's not about to start now! I miss my job from before the Storm, where I was "saving the world" in my own little indirect way. But, God has a plan and far be it from me to question that plan!
New Orleans is home, period, end of discussion! I made the mistake of moving away once and it won't happen again. Mother Nature can be cruel but New Orleanians have an incredibly resiliant spirit. That's one of the glorious things I love about this town. There are no strangers here, only friends you haven't met yet....
Please feel free to drop me a note to say hello!
Who I'd like to meet: I would love to meet Condi Rice! I think she is incredible. I would also like to meet Henry Kissinger, Elizabeth Dole, and Donald Rumsfeld. I would like to talk to Lee Harvey Oswald and ask if he acted alone to settle the debate once and for all (might be tough, him being dead and all). The Pope and Goldi Hawn would also be in my top ten list! And of course there are some online friends that I would love to sit and have coffee with....
