Sounds Like
Sounds like you're actually at a concert in 1966, wearing paisley, tie-dye and being massaged with the purest sounds of guitar, bass and drums with a splash of Farfisa and heavy reverb.
How can something so retro sound so fresh? To answer that question, you really have to hear The Sugar Beats perform live. In case you havent heard, there is a movement happening in the music scene around the world-- its back-to-basic rock & roll with guitar, bass, organ, drums, and melodic vocals with harmonies. The four members of the band, all with several decades of experience playing in bands, came together with one common theme in mind: bring an eclectic mix of fantastic 1960’s and early 1970’s music to both young and older audiences. This was a time when every kid in every town wanted to be in a rock and roll band. This was a time of simple songs with passion, a splash of that lovely Farfisa organ sound, and a whole lot of reverb.
The Sugar Beats have taken this sound and created something you don’t hear in the average watering hole. But when you hear it, you’ll know you're "Five Years Ahead of Your Time".
