First grade: Played piano accompaniment to “Tampopo no Watage.”
Third grade: First composition, for a song for class. (I don’t remember the title now.)
1993 -- Entered junior high school
Second grade: Learned to write song on the piano while playing accompaniment
Third grade – Wrote a light orchestral score using the SNES software
1996 -- Entered Sakado High School
First grade: Started to get more serious about writing songs. Enthusiastically involved in the school; bought my first synthesizer (Roland XP-50).
Second grade: took part as a vocal in a parody band. (The band name was “Sugar Blessing.”)
1999 – Graduated from high school; took a year off to study to get into college
2000 – Entered Shobi University, Faculty of Music, Department of singing
・Took the plunge and made a live solo performance; sung in university choir; joined the new music group “Takumi” and worked hard.
May 2002 – Released self-pressed CD “tada hitori”.
March 2003 – Released self-pressed CD “Hoshi no Uta”; decided to play the piano and sing at the same time
April 2004 – Upon graduation, entered the Music and Media Arts NAOMI Supplementary Education Diploma Vocal Course
・Released debut single, “Hoshi no Uta” (USM-003).
May 2004 – Appeared on the “Yomiuri New Performer Concert” as a soprano
September 2004 – Began broadcasting “Nanotoka Shinakuccha” on the Community FM/FM Chappi-Sugar Blessing
December 2005 – Participated on an omnibus music album, “Ame nochi Hare,” at Tsurugashima Halle; began to work as staff at Tsurugashima Hall; played keyboards on
two songs, “Chokanzu” and “Hitorizuki” on singer songwriter Utaki’s album “Four Leaf Clover.”
October 2006 – Graduated from Music and Media Arts NAOMI Supplementary Education Diploma Vocal Course; held first live solo performance: “Michite yuku” at “Comfort” in Yotsu Tenso
August 2006 – “Ginga tetsudo” was distributed for a short period.
September 2006 – Performed “Megumanzu” with “Dreamer→S”
October 2006 – Appeared in “Shuumatsu no aoringo, arigatou na 10 kuchi” at Takadanobaba Yotsuya Tenso Comfort.
November 2006 – Held a free live concert at Wakaba Walk.
December 2006 – Appeared on “Dramatic Night, Vol. 74-X'mas special,” which took place at Ochanomizu Kakado; performed live at Takadanobaba Totsuya Tenso Comfort 2006; performed at Tsurugashima Hall on New Year’s Eve.
January 2007 – Performed live at “Ama no Onna in Halle: Kousuikakuritu 99%”at Tsurugashima Hall, sponsored by Water-Forest; performed in “R-25 for women: Subete no Hataraku Josei ni Okuru Uta” at Takadanobaba Yotsuya Tenso Comfort; promoted to assistant manager of Tsurugaya Hall and became chief of booking and lighting.
February 2007 – Fans and coworkers celebrate her birthday in grand style at a party, “Fukutencho wo Negirau Kai” at Tsuruga Halle Hall, where she worked. Performed with her friend, Tomii, on a stage at the party.
March 2007 – Performed in “2nd Annual Nihonbashi Acoustic Music Festival,” which was held at the Nihonbashi Social Education Center. For the first time in a year, she sang her song, “Haru” (Spring), at the festival.
April 2007 – Performed in “Yotsuya Tenmado. comfort 3rd Anniversary Special Three-Man Show” which was held at Takada no Baba Yotsuya Tenmado Comfort Hall; performed at Tsuruga Halle Hall’s 4th anniversary concert, “HareBare × One to One”; Performed on “Hibi Uta vol.3 –Hibiki ai, Hibi wo Hiraku Uta-” hosted by singer Tohru Murakami at the Takada no Baba Yotsuya Tenmado Comfort Hall; unveiling of “Megu Meguz,” which was formed by Sugar Blessing and her friend, Usu.
May 2007 – Performed in the concert “Piano and Women: Shiro Kagi no Hi,” which was held at the Takada no Baba Yotsuya Tenmado Comfort Hall; performed in the concert, “Ame Onna and Hare Onna” organized by Water-Forest. Sang the song, “Ai” (Love) with her friend Tomii as lead vocalist; live streaming feed of “Yoake” (Daybreak) over the website, “Esgra Channel.”
June 2007 – Sugar Blessing and her friend Tomii change their duo group’s name from “Suteki Duo” to “Utagoe Kissa Konburio,” and she decided to name her other band “Cross Over 11”; her new songs, “Photograph” and “Candy Star” are unveiled at one of her concerts.
July 2007 – Live streaming of “Ginga Tetsudo” (Milky Way Railroad) was started on the website, “Esgra Channel”; played as a backup keyboard player for the Japanese enka (Japanese ballad) singer, Goro Hokuto, at his concert.
August 2007 – Peformed regular live concerts at Takada no Baba Yotsuya Tenmado Hall and Takada no Baba Yotsuya Tenmado Comfort Hall as a member of the duo group, “Utagoe Kissa Konburio”; appeared in a cooperative project concert called “Natsu no Hareta hi, Mori no Uchi Mizu” organized by Water-Forest and Tsuruga HALLE Hall; played keyboard backup for musician-comedian, Komatsu, at his one-man live show, and they performed her song, “Kaeri Michi” (My Way Home) together.
September 2007 – Performed in the live concert, “Ame Onna to Aki no Naga Ame” organized by Water-Forest; performed in “Kumagaya Heaven’s Rock.”
October 2007 – Performed at Tsurugashima Halle the trio “Romantic Angel,” with Anna-san (from Clover) and Sumire-san; released Tsurugashima Omnibus Album “Ame nochi Hare 2” (Sunshine after the Rain II); performed live concert produced by Usu-san at Takadanobaba Yotsuya Tenmado Comfort as the duo “Megumeguzu” with Usu-san. “Reizouko Burusu -Watashi wa Koko yo-” (Fridge Blues: I am Here) was performed for the first time.
November 2007 – Performed at promotional concert for Tsurugashima Omnibus Album, “Ame nochi Hare 2” (Sunshine after the Rain II) at Omotesandou FAB as Crossover 11 and Halle Staffy’s; performed in a promotional live concert for Tsurugashima Omnibus Album “Ame nochi Hare 2” (Sunshine after the Rain II) at Kumagai Heaven’s Rock as “Romantic Angel”; sang and played the piano at a live concert produced by Date Keiko-san at Akasaka Grafitti; performed at Tsurugashima Halle as the duo “Megumeguzu” with Usu-san; “Tokyo” was performed for the first time; performed as the duo “Utagoe Kissa Con Brio” with Tomii at Utsunomiya Hard Rock House.
December 2007 – Performed at Maebashi Cool Fool; “Chiisana Bokura ni Dekirukoto” (Little Things That We Can Do) was performed for the first time; performed at Takadanobaba Yotsuya Tenmado Comfort as the duo “Megumeguzu.” Megumeguzu Channel was broadcast for the first time during a live concert near on Sakae Street; Performed at Tsurugashima Halle as the trio, “Romantic Angel”; held a live concert, “Cherry Sugar Frappuccino” produced bt Yamamo Sakura-san and Furani-san at Takadanobaba Yotsuya Tenmado Comfort; performed at the New Year’s Eve concert at Tsurugashima HALLE as the duo “Megumeguzu” and as a member of the special band “Joushou Otoko.”
January 2008 – Performed at the New Year’s concert 2008 at Takadanobaba Yotsuya Tenmado Comfort; Performed at Tsurugashima Halle as the trio “Romantic Angel.”
February 2008 – Performed at Tsurugashima Halle and showcases “Yukihotaru” (Snow Firefly) for the first time in about 14 months; performs in duo “Megumeguzu” at the concert, Tukinohana (Moon’s Flower) sponsored by Water-Forest; birthday party called “Party to Thank Vice-Manager” takes place at Tsurugashima Halle.
March 2008 – Performed at Tsurugashima Plan Live in Omotesando FAB as “Megumeguzu”; performed at Tsurugashima Halle and showcases “Yoake” (Opening of the day), accompanying herself after a long interval; performs at Takadanobaba Yotsuya Tenmado Comfort as “Megumeguzu”; peforms solo temporarily while Usu takes maternity leave; performed as Tsurugashima Halle as “Romantic Angel”
April 2008 – Appears on 46-kick- plan live inTsurugashima Halle as special unit that coffee shop at which customers can sing in chorus Konburio and one on one; performs in 5th anniversary concert of Tsurugashima Halle; performs solo as “Romantic Angel” in the concert “Ameonna or Hareonna in Golden Week,” sponsored by Water-Forest.
May 2008 – Performs live as “Crossover 11” at coffee shop at which customers can sing in chorus to “Konburio” at Tsurugashima Halle and Kumagaya Heaven’s Rock VJ-1 for three days in a row.
June 2008 – “Megumeguzu"’s CD release anniversary one-man live “Kokoronikurikaesumono no.10 –Megumeguzu CD release one-man live-” held Takadanobaba Yotsuya Tenmado Comfort
“Megumeguzu” has temporarily suspended activities because Usu has taken maternity leave; begin selling Megumeguzu’s first album Clover.
September 2008 – Music entertainer Komatsu, former staff member for Crescendo and Hare, release DVD “Komatsu’s Self-Introduction”; releases “Kaerimichi” for the album “Sugar Blessing Music” The ending song on the DVD and other songs gain popularity.
