Click here to take the survey > > > Donner Summit, CA - As the first resort in the West that's still in operation, Sugar Bowl enters its 69th season with some great conditions. The deep Snow and spectacular scenery haven’t changed, but the new Switching Yard Terrain Park, slopeside residential projects and State-of-the-Art Judah Lodge would make even the Donner Party feel pampered.
The Vision The allure of the Sierra Nevada became much more accessible in 1926 when U.S. Highway 40 opened over Donner Summit. The region was quickly identified as an ideal winter recreation area. The Sierra Club was active in establishing 2 ski lodges while independent ski schools and rope tows dotted the slopes around the summit. The Southern Pacific Railroad considered the meadow below Mt Lincoln as the ideal site to model after the highly successful Sun Valley Ski Area developed in Idaho by the Union Pacific Railroad. Southern Pacific passed on the opportunity, but the idea was too good to overlook. When 700 acres of land around Mt Lincoln came for sale in 1937, the dream of a new ski resort became a reality for a pioneering group of visionaries. “The Sugar Bowl”, the beautiful natural bowl nestled between the peaks of Mt Lincoln and Mt. Disney provided the perfect setting for a classic European-style ski resort and the 500 inches of annual snowfall provided plenty of entertainment opportunity for winter visitors.
Sugar Bowl is a genuine alpine experience in the Sierra Nevada offering great snow, diverse terrain and exceptional service. Our mountain’s spirit will make you feel like you belong, whether it is your first season or your fiftieth! We cultivate a friendly, safe environment that suits family and individuals alike. Mackenzie and Ricky are getting married in May. How have you been doing? We are going Saturday and start looking at dresses. They didn't give me much notice but thats Mackenzie, right? LOL Oh hey! I already took the pics to be printed lol! Some of them were soo freakin hilarious! And i loved the picture of us ... it was sooo cute..so yah, guess what? 'member those surveys i was doing online? well, i got 2 checks so far! told ya it was real!! it aint like a ton of money, just like 175 so far, but its good coin to start with, right? you should really do it, now that i've gotten paid ..i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

DROVE AN HOUR FROM SACRAMENTO.... WAITED AT APPLEGATE FOR AN HOUR TILL THEY OPENED THE ROADS.... FOLLOWED THE SNOW PLOWS AND DROVE 30 MILES PER HOUR TO GET THERE TO RIDE IN FRESH POWDER ON CHRISTMAS DAY!!! ALL WORTH IT! LOVED IT!!!
