Fred Neal is "Sugar Daddy Kinkade". On my last Cd I played all guitars and bass and did all the drum programming. The songs I have posted are on this CD. I always wanted to do a instrumental recording were I play my ass off and show off my chops. I'm writing some new stuff which is all vocal oriented. I'm searching for a band or musicians to form a band. I also sing back up and play acoustic guitar. I played in a few really good bands here in Los Angeles but for whatever reasons they never got signed. I think that with the right musicians and my expierences along with my new songs that something great could happen.
Influences
Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen are tied for my all time favorite guitarist. I also dig on Randy Rhoads, Warren DeMartini, George Lynch and Joe Satriani. Almost all melodic guitar oreinted rock and roll. Led Zep, Van Halen, Ratt, Ozzy, Guns and Roses, Poison, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Bad Company, Journey, Peter Frampton, Def Leppard, Kiss, L.A. Gunns, Tom Petty, Motley Crue, Prince, Wilke's Booth, The Police. I like alot of the 80's hair bands.
Sounds Like
Sugar Daddy Kinkade's cd features instrumental rock with a hint of blues. Inspired by the reckless , anything goes style of Eddie Van Halen and the theoretical genius of Joe Satriani. Sugar Daddy Kinkade's music is technically brilliant yet extremely melodic and alot of fun. Very guitar heavy no keys or horns, yet. Foot tapping, beer drinking, crotch thrusting good time rock n roll.
