4 Decades of Folk Rock Box Set

    Sep 10 2007 7:57 AM

    Four Decades of Folk Rock

This specially compiled 4 CD Box Set from Time Life features the best
Folk Rock songs from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s!
Includes 71 Songs That Defined An Era and Influenced Generations...
    In Stores September 11

Not just another genre, folk rock was born as a statement—of purpose, of taste, of superiority—the baby boom’s first imprimatur, a musical mission and a personal battle cry in a divisive time of racial tension and escalating war. For a generation of philosopher dropouts and drug-inspired visionaries, it was also the best way to partake in the era’s hippest form of artistic expression, in numbers previously unknown to man.

Support this bill... even if you are from out of state... help us win it for California, and watch the movement spread.  California can lead the way for America with TRUE Universal Health Coverage---not phony schemes that use public funding for private insurance companies to continue business as usual.  Only SINGLE PAYER can cut costs and improve quality of care. And only a huge public outcry will make it happen.

Thanks for the add and the support. We love Habitat!

The New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund offers a CafePress print of what’s left of our piano to help raise funds for musicians. NOmrf pays no office rent and stays grass roots to help each dollar go further. We’ve given hundreds of displaced musicians grants since 8/29/5.

We still assist them wherever they are now, and welcome any help you have to give.

    thanks for the add!!!
i wrote "empress of old orleans",
    one year before katrina hit.
i was on vacation and stayed at the empress hotel for a few days. when the storm rolled in, i felt sick. i was afraid that my song would become a eulogy. i was relieved when i heard that the french quarter wasn't badly affected, and the empress hotel is still in business. i would like to play a show there someday....
