“Jazz Sensibilities...Stand Out..." - Jazz Times Magazine
Coming off studio projects with Paul Brown, Norman Brown and Blake Aaron, pop jazz artist Jessy J is touring with Michael Bolton playing sax and singing backup vocals at select major cities across the nation. Jessy has worked professionally with the World's most popular artists including Jessica Simpson, Michael Buble, Burt Bacharach and the Temptations.
Jessy's extreme desire and ambitions have placed her on the "fast track" to success. She has recently signed her first national recording contract with Peak Records/Concord Music Group, and her debut-recording project “Tequila Moon” was produced by the "Baby Face of Smooth Jazz", Paul Brown. Jessy was hand selected by musical genius Paquito D'Rivera to perform alongside him at Carnegie Hall for an event featuring "tomorrows star musicians". Not only have these two multiple Grammy award-winning artists sung her praise, she is currently being hailed as "Sexy, irresistible, sensible, the upcoming sax star, soulful, delightful, top notch, fresh, and terrific!", on her latest performance with Paul Brown on his Peak recording debut "White Sand".
Make sure you watch the one others are already talking about...Jessy J.

"Ms. Collins plays trumpet and flugelhorn like a twenty-first century Miles Davis" Derek Ansell - Jazz Journal International
“Her phrasing, sound and lyricism remind me of great singers. I really enjoy listening to her CD and would highly recommend it to others" Mike Vax, Big Band Leader, Trumpeter, Educator http://www.mikevax.net
Classically trained at Manhattan School of Music and Interlochen Arts Academy, Kiku brings professionalism to every job in every style, with her sense of humor and sense of adventure that leads her to play and sing with a diverse group of artists.
While Kiku has been seen around town, as well as around the world, with major pop stars including Beyonce, Dave Wakeling, Jay Z, Kelly Rowland, TM Stevens, Carmine Appice, Robert Gordon, Sami Yaffa, Jonathan Richmond, and Pat Travers to drop a few names, she has truly found her voice in "Here With Me". This smoothly satisfying album redefines evocative jazzy compositions and rich orchestration. Her multiple tracking on the flugelhorn, muted trumpet and trombone, showcases a level of musicianship of the highest order and demonstrates what a band of Kikus might sound like.
In addition to her solo album and work with other artists, Kiku has been heard the world over in television and radio commercials for such clients as Sprite, ABC Nightline, Checkers, Miller, Sony, HBO Latin, Visa, Burger King, Ikea, Carefree Gum, Phillips, Wisk, Certs and many others. Ms. Collins has also produced an impressive number of commercials.
Kiku is not only a featured Getzen trumpet artist, but her Grammy Nominated debut album has been featured on many radio stations, and has gotten tons of press from publications like BBC, Le Jazz Affair, Radiophone, WEMU 89.1 in Michigan, NPR, a 3 page article in Jazz Colours Magazine in June 2007 (which hails Collins the "Princess of Smooth Jazz"), Vinilemania, The Jazz Suite, Hot House Jazz, Smooth Jazz, CMJ, WMPG, WGBH, Harris Radio, Julian's Flight, Trumpetgig.com, The Fevered Brain of Radio Mike... and her Getzen posters and ads can be seen all over in schools, music shops, and in The International Trumpet Guild Magazine, Jazz Times Magazine and educational publications. She has recently been interviewed for feature articles for both the International Trumpet Guild Magazine and The Brass Herald, among other publications and websites.

“Elizabeth sings her heart out!”
– Sheila Jordan
Vocalist and trombonist elizabeth! is one of the most in-demand bandleaders and side musicians in New York. Her working band performs her sultry arrangements of jazz standards as well as her catchy original tunes, and her debut recording, "hot & silver," shows off her beautiful phrasing and sensitivity. elizabeth!'s musicianship and enthusiasm (and dance moves!) have made her a popular choice for tours and recordings with artists in genres ranging from country to indie rock to hip-hop.
Professional highlights include:
• leading her quintet for a week of shows at Jazz @ Lincoln Center's Dizzy's Club
• appearances at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, and Lincoln Center, and on Good Morning America with the Metro Mass Gospel Choir
• playing the Conan O'Brien Show with Patrick Wolf
• touring as trombonist and back-up vocalist with Michael Bolton
• a tour with St. Vincent opening for The Arcade Fire

• radio commercial work and recording with countless artists, including The Mooney Suzuki, Chris Potter, and Money Mark of the Beastie Boys
Before dropping her last name for a mark of punctuation (!), Elizabeth Dotson-Westphalen grew up in a very musical family in Vermont, garnering accolades in both music and theater. While at Harvard University, she studied cognitive neuroscience and psychology and immersed herself in the Boston music scene. She played lead trombone with the Harvard Jazz Band, under the direction of Tom Everett, and performed with many of the top names in jazz; a particularly special concert featured Randy Weston and Elizabeth's recreation of Melba Liston's "My Reverie." Other activities included touring with the nutty Hasty Pudding Theatricals, directing the jazz department and spinning records at WHRB, and playing a weekly gig with a drag queen. So much for the typical ivory tower education!
She has studied with Phil Wilson, Sheila Jordan, JD Walter, Michael Philip Mossman, and Antonio Hart - most through the curriculum at Queens College, where she earned a Master's Degree in Jazz Vocal Performance in 2006.
elizabeth! is based in Brooklyn and maintains an active touring and recording schedule.

Marhaba is an Arabic word used in the Middle East as a greeting (in English Hello).
The origin of the word comes from Aramaic, the old Syrian language of Jesus Christ.
It is a combination of two words: MAR + HABA
MAR, meaning God, Lord or Master.
HABA, meaning Love.
So, Marhaba means "God is Love".
The following is the Lord's Prayer in Aramaic, recited by Majida El-Roumi:
Marhaba Sugarhorns
May you celebrate the love of God deep within your heart as Jesus brings new meaning to life... Joy, Hope, Peace... because His love is eternal.
May His eternal love shine upon you always!

You have surely heard about the tragic death of a brave young woman who was murdered in Iran just for peacefully protesting with her father on the streets of Teheran.
