| My greatest heroes are my mom, my dad, and Jesus Christ. And my heroes are suicide survivors, both children and adults, who have endured the pain of suicide and persevered. To all suicide survivors: I love you. I support you. And I will never stop fighting for you. God bless you.

And here is some inspiration:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
(Philippians 4:13)
Nothing is impossible with God.
(Luke 1:37)
Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.
(Proverbs 10:12)
The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man or woman listens to advice.
(Proverbs 12:15)
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6-7)
Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
(Joshua 1:9)
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
(Matthew 7:7)
Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.
(Matthew 5: 3-10)

And here is some amazing inspiration and love from Hannah, a 12-year-old suicide survivor who is not only like a daughter to me, but is also one of my heroes. This is a poem that we co-wrote for Suicide.org, but the essence of the poem is from Hannah. And in the poem Hannah expresses her deep love for her mom.
I love you, Hannah.
Here is Hannah's poem:
Because You Are My Mom
by Hannah, age 12, and Kevin Caruso
I don’t know what to do,
I have bad feelings that make me blue.
But when I die and am born anew,
I know that I will be with you.
I feel real bad pain,
It keeps falling on me like rain,
And I will never be the same,
Because I miss you but you are not to blame.
After school when it is time to go home,
I try to call you on my phone.
I call your number but you are not there,
And I always get a really bad scare.
I wish I could talk to you some more,
And tell you to come through my door.
You could come into my room and sit next to me,
And then we could talk together again just you and me.
I would tell you that I love you,
And that I have bad feelings too.
And you would tell me that you love me,
So I wouldn't feel so blue.
I know you are in Heaven and that you are in the sky,
And over and over I keep asking why.
But I want you to know that when I am with you in that sky,
You don't have to tell me why you did a suicide.
Because you are my mom.
I love you mom,
Hannah
And now I would like you to meet a 10-year-old suicide survivor and another one of my heroes, Becky. This superstar is also like a daughter to me. Becky wrote an awesome article for Suicide.org about her sister, Tabatha, who is now in Heaven.
I love you Becky.
Here is Becky’s article:
I Know Why My Sister is in Heaven
by Becky, age 10, and Kevin Caruso
My sister’s name is Tabatha and she used to sing in our church, so God used to listen to her there. God knew that she was really good. So, when He needed a new singer for His church in Heaven, He asked for Tabatha.
Tabatha sings better than anyone else in Heaven.
She also does solos.
When I was sad, Tabatha used to give me candy. And so I know that God tells Tabatha to give the children in Heaven candy when they get sad.
Tabatha also throws tennis balls to the dogs who are in Heaven. Tabatha always liked throwing the ball real far for our dog, Rex.
And Rex would run very fast and pick up the ball and run back.
I would throw the ball too, but I couldn’t throw it very far; so God needed Tabatha to help with all of the dogs in Heaven because she can throw the ball really good.
The dogs needed someone to play with.
I still cry a lot because I miss my sister, but I know that she is in Heaven now because God needed her.
When I am in Heaven, I am going to help Tabatha and God too.
