Suicide Bid arose in early 2005. More of a collective than a band in the traditional sense the group is a gathering of friends who met through touring, and features members of some of the UK's most popular punk acts of the last decade including King Blues, Ex-Cathedra, The Filaments, P.A.I.N, Inner Terrestrials, Deathskulls and Sonic Boom 6 amoungst others.
Debut record "This is the Generation" was recorded DIY in the Summer of 2005, and was released to critical acclaim through Householdname Records on November 14th '05. French Labels Maloka andMass Prod have released a vinyl version for all you boss DJ's.
The 2006 follow up "The Rot Stops Here," Suicide Bid's debut full length is an eclectic mix of dancehall flows and punk rock energy, featuring stunning performances from some of the UK underground's most respected artists. Hey! Hope you are doing good. I wanted to let you know about a show i'm doing in London on Sunday, June 1st. I'm touring with Tommy Allsup. He played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is the guy playing on songs like "Heartbeat", "It's So Easy", etc, etc.....he is 76 and still going strong. He is a character. Anyway, i would love to see you at the show. I think as a fellow musician that you will really appreciate seeing Tommy play, and listening to his stories! He is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens. If you want to see Tommy in action....check out my blog. There is a video from last week in Nashville from the studio.
