Welcome to Suicide Ireland

Our aim is to highlight the increase in Suicide victims in the Galway area and to support organisations dedicated to the prevention of suicide in our society.

We do not offer any counseling or support services directly but we fundraise to help those organisations pay for counselor training and assist them in any way we can.

Through this site we do aim to have a comprehensive gateway to a huge range of services and help available to those in need. links to these groups can be found on the organisations page (here).

All listings are provided free of charge, any groups wishing to have their organisation listed may do so (here). SuicideIreland.com has been established to:

Provide a user friendly source of information on the broad range of guidance and counselling services that are available in Ireland in the areas of suicide, suicide bereavement, depression and life situations that may lead to attempting suicide.Liaise with the relevant counselling services, initially in Galway, in an attempt to ascertain where their funding short falls can supported by SuicideIreland.com on an ongoing basis. Set challenging but achievable targets for SuicideIreland.com to raise funds to support Galway based groups. Fund raise from both corporate bodies and through public events to meet the targets as set out above. In the medium term extend our support on a regional, and then national basis.
