Hailing from Orillia, Ontario, Sui Generis combines elements of punk, hardcore, and metal to create an aggressive and high energy style of music that is sure to please fans of said genres. Dedicated to their craft, all 5 members bring their talents and varying influences together to produce pit-frenzying tunes and intense live shows.
Formed in the late 1990's out of a love for music by Cory Doucette, Sui Generis spent it's first few years compiling the right mix of members and designing a style to call their own which is exactly what sui generis means, altogether unique. It was not until 2003 that the band would see it's first meaningful studio visit with the results being the June release of "Refusal of Now" . Meeting head on against the pop punk culture which surrounded them, the band has been able to make a name for itself where ever they play.
2004 would see a change of bass players, and hence the introduction of Cam Stamper. His unique style would be an instrumental part of that years musical release. "Behavioural Therapy" was released early summer, nearly one year after the debut cd and continues to be supported by the band at this time

Hey, we have an album now!
We just got back from Germany and we have our first album with us! The album will be released in July, but you can already hear some of the songs on our myspace page and if you like it, preorder the album too.
