    Suit & Tie Guy's Interests
Generaldelay, repetition and hazard.

music, synthesisers, being a rockstar, being a lounge musician, being Suit & Tie Guy.
MusicI like music that kicks ass ... like prog rock, acid jazz, and ambient music. i can't stand the strokes, blink 182, or christian hardcore.

If you think The Beloved is a christian hardcore band and not a British synthpop duo who wrote a song called "Deliver me" which was then covered by Sarah Brightman and then the cover was covered by cultural christian rocker David Crowder then please go away.

of course, if you're open to debating the relative merits of Jon Marsh's original versus David Crowder's appropriation and adjustment of the lyrics by all means feel free to stick around.

by the way, if you think The Faint or The Postal Service are "really good synthpop" but don't own any Everything But The Girl or Pet Shop Boys records then you might want to think about rebalancing your iPod.
Moviesmy favourite movies are Incubus, Blade Runner, and Secretary.

this does not necessarily mean i'm into speaking Esperanto, hot human-on-replicant action, or spanking you ... but hey if you're into that stuff that's cool.
TelevisionDoctor Who, the Prisoner, Night Gallery, The A-Team, and Dragnet. also short-lived late 70s/early 80s SF programmes. if you don't know what SF means, or don't like the way I spelled "programme", please don't bother to add me as a friend.
Booksremaindered coffee table books, Time Life coffee table books (WWII, the Maritime series, and The Old West in particular), music equipment manuals, music production magazines (Sound-On-Sound, Tape Op, Synapse, etc), and Doctor Who novels.
HeroesRobert Fripp, Groove Holmes, and Klaus Schulze. I think Vin Diesel kicks ass too ... but I don't know if i'd call him a "hero". on second thought, yeah ... Vin Diesel is a personal hero of mine.

Mar 30 2008 11:58 AM

cool! i'll look around and see what the cheapest one i can find is..

We didn't actually use your amp because we had to go pick people up and we were ten minutes late..and the opening band.. so we didn't have time to set it up. it was bad...and messy.

I'll probably swing by tuesday. around like...3-5 sometime..or maybe later..after the cafe around like...8?
Logan (Mission Accomplished)

If i were to get an ms2000 not on line where could i get one? No one in my family has a credit card.

The components I have for a x0x right now are a pair of BA662A's sitting in a static proof baggie. The design of the x0x is so butt ugly that I've never had the gumption to build one, despite the kick ass sound. If you can fix that for planet earth you would be the Schwetty Balls Guy from outer space!

Feb 23 2008 2:35 PM

only thing excessive in my studio is the FR-XS. That thing has just redefined mono synths forever. No finer mono on planet for me, and my style of creation... it is, in a word, retarded.

Feb 13 2008 10:21 AM

that is correct, i do have dogs. you know...i dont think he ever did fix that door. he is pretty much running that place into the ground, and is currently being sued by the other 3 partners. I would not be surprised if the place gets shut down soon. oh, and by the way, if you are looking for a good expensive bourbon i suggest Pappy Van Winkles. It's pretty hard to come by, but it is well worth the hassle.

Ironside? Are you gonna like, roll around the Peoria music scene and figure out the mysteries therein? Like, who stole somebody's tip money or why certain people on Thursday evenings at a place that rhyme's with "Fogies" think that they can sing when they should just put on a bra and sell cocaine?

Suit, jeez! Sorry to hear about the ankle, man! Wishing you a speedy recovery, though. From one couch-bound person to another! Trust me on this, since I've been on bedrest, I've gotten addicted to the WEIRDEST tv shows. Crap I'd never watch if I had my life back. Don't be surprised to find yourself tuning in to the Real Housewives of Orange County or Project Runway, that's all I'll say for now...
