Jeremy and John originally met in LA back in 2001 and talked about collaborating, but it took until 2007 for them to meet back up in Boston and start writing songs. Suitcase Poets is the natural outgrowth of this collaborative effort. A true partnership, Jeremy and John are currently mining their extensive backlog of music and words as well as writing new and intriguing material for pre-release here on myspace and later on the first Suitcase Poets CD release. Check back here for upcoming song releases in the coming weeks and months.

I gaze deep into the crowd & study the faces, Of Immigrants contemplating about going places, Born with a stubbornness to be fruitful in life mazes, Like the Jews out of Egypt determined to make it, Equipped only with a pen && a pad but I’ll take it, Place it in a duffle bag with distress regret && praises, crushed ambition cannibalistic && raciest, Mash it all together to form inspiring illustrations, For that 12 year old thinking suicide is escaping, For that heroin addict torched by demonic faces, For that prisoner stuck in a six by eight cell Chained up like wild animals left to rot in they cages, For all the children around the globe suffering tonight of starvation, For the poor people who struggle daily coming home to shit on a daily bases, They said with the odds against me I would never make it, The same was said about Jesus when the Romans crucified him naked, Three days later he restricted forever Imprinting history pages, written the book of life so nonbelievers cant erase it, Laying still in your bed wondering were the day went, Trade in your sorrow’s with the lord for only he can take it, Poetic appetite to write another all-nighter tonight, Expanding horizons of what my people can be in this life, Written by Ricardo Jimenez Poetic_Soul
Wow, what a team.. The Suitcase and the Poet did an epic job on the newest! I'm telling ya, I hear a Beatles flavor in this one. Love it, the vocals are varied and the instrumentals, especially the beginning piano is genuis! I like the changes throughout- great talent, let it shine! NO, I'm not on the payroll!
