   About Suite 100
Hailing from north San Diego County, SUITE 100 is a mix of sing-a-long melodies, lush arrangements, thoughtful lyrics and pure pop sensibilities. Core members Matt Mincey (vocals, bass) and Jeff Partridge reunited from their previous effort, the startup band Babelfish, and joined San Diego and LA scene regular Steven Strong (drums) in 2003 to begin work on a collection of musical ideas. In 2005 the labor of love was completed, the self produced debut, 'In the Night Kitchen'. Ambitious yet inviting, the album is rich with harmony and potent, telling lyrics. Much like the Smiths had done before, the music has been finely crafted, with interwoven guitars (new Webster’s entry: Guitarchitecture) over mindfully constructed and often playful rhythms. Partridge’s music theory background is clearly evident in his smoldering, robust and swooning solos that are as sweet as any lyric. It’s not often enough that music and words can hit you so viscerally. 'In the Night Kitchen' is a smart initial offering that puts a new face on the pop-alternative map with melody rich songs like "Salvation Amy" and "Serenity" that you'll be humming before they're even over. Showing their breadth on pieces like the tender "Closer" and vast anthemic landscape of "Sleepwalking Wounded", SUITE 100 covers a lot of ground without missing a step. Anticipating the release of In the Night Kitchen, the group was rounded out by the addition of JD Richardson on rhythm guitar, backing vocalist Amy Ellevold and keyboardist Jess Alexander, each bringing a fresh new ingredient to SUITE 100’s live sound. Their energetic and engaging live act dismisses the notion that sophisticated harmonies and ornate arrangements are lost on all but the critics and musical elite. A true original with a warm regard for its musical heroes, SUITE 100 fashions music that can't be overlooked. Demand more from your music. Step in to SUITE 100.

Thursday, June 11th , at 11pm. It could very well be the only show of 2009! The bass player and I had to part ways (on good terms; he's still doing the show), and the drummer got into a touring band so she's leaving after this show. So insta no more band! Since I don't want to deal with that happening again I'm putting more effort into getting a full length album recorded and released before worrying about the live show. But this all will make the show that much better! Since everybody knows this is it, they're putting everything they got into it. It's gonna rock!

Yeah, the whole shoot was definitely on the scarier side. Some neat stuff though.
Gonna come see my show? The only one for 2009! You can't miss it!

Hola! I see I've been replaced by luggage. Well, it can't play the guitar any worse than I did. Ha ha ha.

How you guys doing!? I see new pictures and that makes me think, "Maybe they're working on the album. I've been droolin' for a new album.

Anyways.... Hope everyone is doing great. Jeff and his crazy antics. Steve's stories and theories. Jess and her out of control boobies and Matt. Just the way you can explain something with the craziest scenarios. That was always fun. Little Jack!

I just noticed that Amy is missing from the picture. Huh.

Anyways... Have fun guys. I'll talk to ya later.

Hey Matt,

Hold on to that article, Id love to see it. Yea, I knew how much he made a year. That bastard. Ha ha ha.

Meeting famous people? Yeah, I've met some people here and there. The latest thing where I ended up meeting a ton of people was at the "Harold and Kumar" premiere. That was exciting. It's fun to watch the movie with the people that actually made it. I sat next to McLovin and the cast of Reno 911. I'm officially addicted to premieres. They're fun.

Tell me you've seen "Iron Man." AMAZING! I got to see it in the dome of the Arc Light theater. AMAZING! I hope that it was all that you wished for. It was for me. I attached some pics for your enjoyment. This is the actual suit worn in the film and the Audi, also used in the film.

So, I hope all things are well with everyone and of course the new family member. Hope to hear something from the new album. How's that going, by the way? It must be hard to get back into it right now.

Take Care,

JD
