I was 16 when I wrote a song about a mother who runs away with her baby in arms from raging war. I was experiencing unbearable sorrow as if I was the only mother of all orphans and suffering beings. While singing this song I felt anxiety and anger about those who caused the war. But this wasn't the end of my suffering. I didn't want to listen to people who interpreted thoughts or songs about the bad state of the world sweetly and passed only their own world of suffering onto people with considerable self-satisfaction. Just after that a great longing has come (you can‘t imagine how great it was) that all people in the world should understand what I sing about. If there was just one nation left that wouldn‘t understand they could be the one who might continue the war. Suddenly something immense has sprung out of me!! I want the language of the world! Yes, it has been a long time that languages of world have existed, but most of them have already been used in wars.. The language, which can't be understood by reason and can only be felt by your heart wasn't revealed to me then. It came seven years later, when I was in thrill for several months... from that nothing had changed in the world. Even worse, power and greed is spread above people like a vast and thick fog. Whoever enters can't break free from its influence and focus the sight. The Fog is so thick and heavy that it winds as a cobweb around the body and soul of a human being,... I asked God a thousand questions, I wanted Him to help me find a solution. Why does the evil come so easily to someone, why is someone‘s free will so weak and decides much faster to act in the name of lie and disregard... why does someone confide in money, inhuman ideology, the pyramid, esotericism, new age, alchemy, astrology, false sense of peace in emptiness, temples full of gold, idolized leaders, herd, power, outputs from pride without humility... I can't imagine that world becomes a fear and emptiness! I don't want to live here uselessly, half-sleeping and awaiting an award for my life. God, I want to become Your sound, Your song. Let me be a warrior, who will slash the fog and pierce the darkness with the sword of love from Your Son Jesus.
Suí Vesan is a singer, instrumentalist and composer from Slovakia. She has been making music professionally since 2001 but started composing her own music back in 1982. In some songs she plays the guitar using a thistle, dry grass or poppy-head. She also fills her songs using different instruments like: kalimba, mandolin, violin, fretless guitar, flute, shepherd's pipe. At live concerts she is accompanied by her husband Radoslav Vesan who also actively enters the creative process. He plays the acoustic guitar, different percussions, Jew’s harp, mandolin or wooden kalimbas handmade by him. Since 2007 he has also recorded and mixed their songs published on their latest CD.
Suí.s voice and, in general, her whole musical expression doesn't fit to any category. To stick some pieces of different styles to her work would mean to defend one's opinion and closing the ears before the real source, from which this music comes from. For those who do not fill themselves with words of emptiness and the glamour of the world; for those who do not want to rely on the human wisdom and power but on the God's true word instead; this music is called “reverberance of truth“.

Suí.s first album, recorded in November 2001, was included by the members of the Broadcasting Union (45 experts in World music from 20 counries) as a ..new album.. to the Top 20 World Music Charts Europe on BBC 3. The song ..Makovienka..(Poppy girl) reached number 13 and remained in the charts for 6 months. ..Makovienka.. is also featured on Charlie Gillett World 2003 CD, one of the most prestigious and expected Compilations in the World Music territory. Music magazine fRoots included her song 'Poznanie'(Recognition) in its selective CD. Suí was invited by Charlie Gillett from BBC3 to his programme and the same day she opened Jazz Festival at the Royal Festival Hall in London in 2002. Next years she represented Slovakia in:

In June 2005 second album "Merging With The Brook" was released in Germany by Tradition & Moderne GmbH and in January 2006 in the USA by World Village music (Distribution: Harmonia Mundi USA).
