Scion, Star Wars, reading, sleeping, eating at strange hours, and-- oooh look...shiny!
Music
Band of Horses, Sugarcult, David Wilcox, The Band, Nickelback, Meatloaf, Van Morrison, Chris Barrons, the Time Bandits, Abbie Huxley, Giant Tigers, How I Became the Bomb, Michael Buble, Spill Canvas, ... too many more to list
Movies
Wish I had time to see movies. Old school faves: Star Wars, The Matrix, The Incredibles, Batman (any of the Tim Burton versions), The Tigger Movie (how'd this get in here?), Blade Runner, Underworld, Remember The Titans, Mirror Mask, Little Miss Sunshine, oh and some pretentious foreign flicks with subtitles because that'll make me seem like a complicated, fascinating person-- actually everything I watch is in subtitles, how about that?
Television
The Office, Heroes, The Simpsons, 30 Rock (no, not 3rd Rock), Lost. I actually haven't watched TV in months so the only shows I keep up with are the ones I can catch at odd hours online.
Books
"No Logo" by Klien, "The World is Flat" by Friedman; "1776" by McCullogh. Trying to finish "Nudge" by Thaler and Sustein
"Cradle to Cradle" by McDonough, I usually enjoy fiction, but haven't spent much time with it lately. Favorite authors: Tolkien, Douglas Adams, Timothy Zahn, Dennis L. Mckiernan, Dean Koontz... too many others to list. Maybe one more:
Who I'd like to meet: George Lucas, Charles Eames, Neil Gaiman, Jack Kirby, Tim Burton, Frank Miller, Peter Mayhew (met him actually), Ray Harryhausen, Stephen King, JRR Tolkien (do they have to be currently living?), and Yoda.
It was a blast! I'm sorry I forgot to tell you that I found out the trip was full after I had mentioned it to you. But there's another one coming up in August that I'll probably post as an event on FB.
I've been invited to learn more about working part time as a financial planner with Primerica (after extensive training). This is exciting b/c I've always been interested in learning more about that subject and it will allow me to meet new people & earn some extra $ w/o having to put up with drunks :)
haha, sounds like she and I would get along fabulously! well i am flat broke and was exhausted last night so it worked out better for me to stay in. But I look forward to hanging out again when you're back in town--just text me!
As are you--- and delightful too! that has been one of my favorite compliments... when I was tactfully complaining about a book study that the church was doing and I thought it dumb! since it was a book about how women think, written by a man for a men's study group which was lead by a man.
Men are truly weird! and ego centric... just the way they are built, huh? hehe
Silver crescent delicate rim the earths shadow caused only to dim its beauty to grey for a short while but given the cycles I know I will smile Just as your grin that hangs in the night Things once upside down must be put right
If I have a summer job- you will most definitely be employed as the courier to deliver to and from Aquarium Camp so as not to increase the stress levels of The Lady! So methinks- yeah, you are invited!
