Also a quick note, those interested in the maxi-CD and all of the mixes of Sulk's "Only You" and the Hex Hector remix of "Anyway" as released under "Sherrie Lea", they are available in the U.S. though the U.S. label Robbins Entertainment/BMG...again, enjoy!

"Live A New Day" is the last true "Sulk" track that Sherrie and I recorded together...We recorded it when the buzz was fading on the "Sherrie Lea" Hex Hector remix of prior "Sulk" release of "Anyway"...Due to label/artist commitments at the time, "Live A New Day" had remained unreleased...now its exclusively available only here...enjoy and thanks for the support!!

Thanks.....with much interest from record/distribution companies, Sherrie and I have planned to about record new tracks, however we have yet to make this happen.... in the meantime, I have written and recording some future "sulk" demos featuring some guest singers.... I am also writing for a few new and young singers....Marriage?? hmm, I guess some of us do and some of us just avoid commitment and inevitable failure, lol....
Yes, I haven't spoken to Sherrie in about a month... I still occasionally act as an adviser or contract lawyer for her.... She is currently singing in a "rock" band and I think she is currently in "shut down" and in "hiding", she does that sometimes when pressure gets too much....

Hey...thanks to everyone for their interest in "Sulk"....I'm forwarding a copy of the song "Anyway" to post here....This "sulk" recording was record by the band and appears on our 3rd CD that was released in 2000....You can find a "dance/club" version remixed by the famous remixer Hex Hector (Madonna, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopex).... though the original song was release under "Sulk", the dance version was release under "Sherrie Lea", though still considered a "Sulk" song....I am sure you can find the dance/club version on limewire too...

As for the rest of the band, Fuad is married in Denver and Ian is married and is residing in Ontario...now married to a "club" singer".....me, I am writing songs for a couple of new singers....

The band was originally founded by singer Sherrie Laird and songwriter/producer Blair O'Halloran in April 1996. Frustrated with their previous individual projects, they decided to combine thier strengths in this new project that they called "Sulk". Within one month, the due released their first demo with songs "World", "Say" and "Talk".
Though the North American music industry ignored the more European sounding demo, the duo decided to shift their emphasis from keyboards to a guitar oriented sound. Their second demo, which included "Tomorrow" and "First Time" brought much praise from several major label A&R representatives. On August 27th, 1996, Sulk as a 5 piece band played its debut performance at the Toronto concert venue called "The Opera House". From that night forward, Sulk has made its name as an outstanding live band and is always a highlight amongst any entertainment line-up.
During October of 1996, Sulk recorded its first CD. The CD was produced by Sulk's leader and main songwriter, Blair O'Halloran. Though sulk has only existed for a short time, there has been many personnel changes. Today, the band includes 4 members and is by far the best!!
Sulk's debut CD includes the single "Don't Tell Me", which has been played on several commercial radio stations across Canada. Also, a video has been released to support the single. This great video was added to rotation on CMT in October, 1997. The band's second CD is expected to be released in February, 1998.

Offering an artistic blend of pop/rock and love-inspired songs, Sulk adjoin their creations with influences going from R&B to country. The Canadian group relies on the songwriting expertise of Blair O'Halloran and on the singular voice of Sherrie Laird. Sulk formed in 1996, in Toronto, Canada, fronted by singer Laird and by O'Halloran. They both had had previous musical experiences -- while Laird previously sung with Tribal Place, O'Halloran was a former member of Double Think. For all the "whatever" diffidence of their name and the D.I.Y. graphics of the cover art and liner notes (complete with several uncorrected spelling errors), the debut album by the Toronto duo Sulk is surprisingly mainstream pop/rock. Even more surprisingly, it's really good. Singer Sherrie Laird has an attractive, throaty voice with just a hint of blues-mama growl which she has the taste and good sense not to overuse. Collaborator Blair O'Halloran is a gifted guitarist with a knack for catchy tunes that are adult contemporary-radio catchy, but not antiseptically slick or mind-numbingly derivative. It's not just due to the earthy-singer-plus-bearded-guitarist makeup, but Sulk very closely resembles Eurythmics circa Be Yourself Tonight. Mixing mainstream pop/rock, R&B, and somewhat more experimental tendencies (the almost trip-hoppy "World" is a particular highlight), Laird and O'Halloran create an album that's radio-friendly without being crassly commercial. In April I collaborated on a song called ‘Sorry’ with Finn Molund of PerHansa Studio. He wrote the music and I wrote the melody and lyrics. In May I collaborated on a song called ‘This Goodbye Is Forever’ with Jarle Mogard and Karsten Skarphol, also from Norway. They wrote the music and I wrote the melody and lyrics. I think writing/recording music via the internet is an exciting way to get to know and be able to work with other songwriters/musicians that otherwise I would never have the opportunity to work with!
