It was really chance. That’s it. No astral or planetary alignment big deal. Just chance. Some will make up stories or create smoke where there’s none, but I was there. I should know, right? Four guys in line at a check out counter in the grocery store. Plain and simple. I knew a guy in college who partied a little too hard, no one saw him for a couple of hours, and he woke up in a dry bathtub in his communal dorm bathroom. Was that destiny speaking to him? He probably was dirty and disgusting. Perhaps the guy should have taken that bathtub as a (random but) significant moment. But maybe, also, the tub just presented itself as a good place to lie down for a while. Look, all I’m saying is that that day at the grocery store was just one day out of each of our lives.
So I’m standing there, buying my Count Chocula, when I noticed the two guys at the end were talking loudly (read: obnoxiously). Then I saw out of the corner of my eye that those guys were wearing the same ZOSO shirt I was wearing and that the guy next in line was also wearing the same shirt. Sure, it was odd, and that’s how the conversation started. But people have been wearing those shirts since time immemorial – well, more or less. So we then happened to discover – during some completely normal, run-of –the-mill, non-sadistic chatter – that we all had lists of people we wanted to kill. It’s not like they were the same lists or anything. We stumbled upon some common ground in our man Sulla. This shit happens everyday. Anyways, Brad mentioned he was tired of everything in music today running in stale circles. I told him he was a sorry whiner repeating the same hackneyed (and circular) commentary he’d heard at his lame hipster parties. To which Matt put his fist to my face and said I didn’t know a thing about any hipster parties. I said I had nothing wrong with hipster parties in general, I’d even been to one the weekend before last. It was an asinine comment, that was all. I just thought Brad either needs to stop wishing his life would end or put his money where his mouth is (in regards to music, that is). Clint then chimed in that he had a hipster at the top of his list of people he wanted to see dead. We all laughed. A band was born.

So then came the grotesquely poignant rhapsodies, the booze, the groupies, the gonorrhea, the drugs, the countless (and faceless) women after shows, the genital herpes, the nights of endlessly repeated infomercials, the dirty needles…
I guess you could say we opened our eyes to the potential bathwater. But it was really just a day.

First of all, our guitarist IS sick and definitely NOT a moron. Secondly, our lead guitarist can't contact the other guitarist because our drummer never emailed him Clint's number. Peace and love to all our fans, especially all the beautiful ladies who we've hooked up with after shows (e.g. Mike Moore).
SUP!? i will accept no excuses for you not sk8ing anymore. you gotta take that shit into your own hands, man. i had to build myself a funbox just so i wouldnt give up and i use it at least once a week. really good to hear about the zombie flix and cryogen success though. coming home for christmas, so if there's not too much snow on the ground we'll get a good rail sesh in. till then sucka. take care S
