İstanbul - 25 Şubat 2009 - Vicdani Rapçi Sultan Tunç, Dub Kurtuluş Bandosu adını verdiği topluluğu ile "Oriental Rap'n Roll" isimli albümünün ve aynı albümün "Mr. Genelkurmay" adlı parçası için çektikleri video klibin tanıtım partisinde 25 Şubat Çarşamba günü, Beyoğlu Balık Pazarı Kameriye Sokak No:4 'te bulunan Peyote sahnesinde olacak. Tanıtım partisi sonrasında gecenin diğer performansçısı Karagüneş, Kanadalı müzisyen misafiri Anit Ghost ile birlikte sahneye çıkacak ve tekrarı olmayan bir performansa imza atacak.
Ortadoğu ve Balkanlar’ın en kontr-atak mikrofonu, fun-o-politik rap'in pir-i sultanı, Germen kırağılarının çalamadığı acı patlıcan, pes'e düşmez bas-megafon ses Sultan'ımız Tunç'umuz, son albümü "Oriental Rap'n Roll" ve mahşerin dört tatlısı, taş gibi dub kafası, yok eksisi ve sürprizli artılarıyla, maskeli ve anonim sadık özgürlük savaşçıları Dub Kurtuluş Bandosu'yla kestiği yeni vidyosu "Mr. Genelkurmay"ın tanıtım partisiyle aramıza dönüyor...

Kasım kasım kasılsa da kafa avcılarının soytarıları, Almanya-Transbalkan-Türkiye hattında onlarca kolektif çalışma, en iyiler albümleri, hip-hop atölyeleri, film müzikleri ve 2003 yılında müessesi tir tir titreten "Saygıdeğer Şarkılar" albümüyle Vicdan-ı Rap'ini ilmek ilmek dokuyan Sultan Tunç, müziğin boynundan tektipleşmenin yağlı ilmeğini çıkartmaya geliyor...

my name is sultan-tunc.i'm a 28 year old rapper, singer, songwriter traveling between
germany and turkey back and forth.
my first album Saygi deger sarkilar' was rel. in 2001 in turkey and sold over
25.000 copies. we had 2 videos on rotation.
after that i was featured on the album 'along the path' by eastenders
which i toured with as well.we played gigs from istanbul to stockholm.
my new album will be released end of this year.me and my producer afrit
put all our effort to make an outstanding record.
we tried to cross traditional turkish styles with music we love-
such as funk-raggea-beat.
we recorded trax with very famous turkish singer-selda- from the 70s whom music we grow up with.
Famous turkish jazz singer/actress özay fecht performs on one covered
song- istanbul: originally by daniel moreno 1962.
Saadet türköz a well known impro-peform artist with turkish routes living in switzerland did a great performance on one track...
we arranged beautifull string section played live by famous -gündem yayli group-who play 85% of all contemp. recorded turkish records.
lots of traditionall instruments combined with fat beats.

Pompeii veröffentlichten kürzlich ihr neues Album "Nothing Happens For A Reason" auf Eyeball Records (Tiger Lou, An Albatross, Wolftron). Im September kommen sie nun endlich auch nach Europa. Man darf sich auf perfekt vorgetragene IndiePopSongs im Stile von Death Cab For Cutie, Moving Mountains oder Appleseed Cast freuen.
Sie haben innerhalb eines Jahres mehr Gehörgänge und Clubeinrichtungen zerstört als manch andere Band in ihrer ganzen Karriere. Und das, obwohl man dem Grand Pocket Orchestra aus Irland kein erhöhtes Aggressionspotenzial zuschreiben würde, wenn man sich nur auf den Genuss ihrer Tonträger beschränkt. Angenehmer Gänseblümchenpop im Stile von Animal Collective ist da zu hören, den auch Notwist-Mann Mario Thaler zu schätzen weiß. Er war so begeistert vom GPO, dass er sich aufmachte nach Dublin und dort Songs mit ihnen produzierte.

on their self-titled album, the terrordactyls' quirky, lighthearted yet decidedly melancholic pop/anti-folk tunes are augmented by toy pianos, kazoos, and the voice of kimya dawson (the moldy peaches, juno). despite all these charming trappings, though, nothing really serves to take the edge off the terrordactyls' gutsy interpretation of the sad sweetness (or sweet sadness) of living.
