The Summer Apes came into existence at 9:30pm on Saturday the 9th of September 2006 when 3 gentlemen who had never previously met accidently but simulateneously walked onto the stage at the Evelyn Hotel, picked up the instruments they found there and started playing. Astonishingly all three found themselves quite by accident playing the same song. Even more astonishingly without a word spoken they continued to play 14 more songs none of them had ever heard before. Even more astonishingly astonishing was that quite a few people who were there to witness the event quite liked it.
This is a true story ladies and gentlemen. Would I lie to you?
