    Art on Tap – Summer heats up for young professionals at the museum with a new social event that puts art and mixing/meeting on tap together. Enjoy live music, gallery strolls, art making, food, and drink all night long. Free of charge for admission and events all night; bars, food stations, and parking additional. Summertime Blues – Wednesday, July 8, 5:30–9 p.m. The Bare Essentials – Wednesday, August 12, 5:30–9 p.m. Murder at the Museum – Wednesday, September 9, 5:30–9 p.m. KJ Blues rocked the museum and gave us a cure for the Summertime Blues at our first Art on Tap party. Local poprock band, JJ Magazine, will be performing at the Bare Essentials Art on Tap party on August 12. Good Morning Valentine will also be performing their eclectic mix of Motown and 60's and 70's rock at the August 12 Art On Tap. It'll be a very mysterious night when Mystery of Two performs at our Murder Mystery Art on Tap party on September 9. Coffinberry will be rocking out the museum with their post-punk sounds at our last Art on Tap party September 9.

Current Exhibition:Streams and Mountains Without End: Asian Art and the Legacy of Sherman E. Lee

June 27-August 23, 2009

Streams and Mountains Without End is a memorial exhibit showcasing 50 masterworks of Asian art acquired by the late Dr. Sherman E. Lee (1918-2008). Works on display include 15th century hand scrolls, stone statues of Hindu deities, woodcarvings and many more. Come see it before these works are hidden away until the West Wing is open in another 4 years.
