Summer Sizzle BVI (British Virgin Islands) "Make your next island getaway a fashionable escape to paradise" Summer Sizzle BVI is the ultimate vacation getaway. Now in its third year, this spectacular weekend is a lifestyle escape combining the trendiest fashion event in the Caribbean with upscale parties, island tours and sailing excursions to create the perfect vacation. The festivities kick off on Thursday, July 22nd and run through Sunday, July 25, 2010. Summer Sizzle events include a Culture and Style Welcome Pool Party sponsored by the Ministry of Education & Culture, the Sunset White Fashion Fete, a Day Sail Excursion to Virgin Gorda, the Summer Sizzle Fashion Show, a VIP After-Party, and other fabulous activities. The fashion show, which remains the nexus of Summer Sizzle BVI, serves as a platform for showcasing international trend-setting fashion designers and models from some of the world’s top agencies including Ford, Elite, Major Models, Q Models and Identities. Our history Originally created in 2007 by Terry Donovan (of “Signature by Terry Donovan”), Summer Sizzle began as a fashion show with the purpose of promoting the British Virgin Islands. Since then, Terry’s vision has culminated into a five-day fashion and lifestyle event. Summer Sizzle is the central highlight of the British Virgin Islands each July and has attracted visitors from the Virgin Islands, Caribbean and the USA. Summer Sizzle brings together a number of leading international and regional designers, industry executives, models, celebrities, international media and press, and attracts a diverse audience of affluent professionals and influencers from around the globe. Headliners from the 2009 Summer Sizzle BVI Fashion Show include: Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons, Korto Momolu - Project Runway finalist, New York City designers Tracy Reese and Cesar Galindo as well as breakthrough designers from New York, Trinidad, St. Thomas and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Giving back Our dedication to community service is central to our organization’s mission and we are happy to announce our recent partnership with the HIV-AIDS Foundation (BVI) LTD. The Foundation serves to provide quality, prevention, treatment, care and psycho-social support to improve the lives of people infected and affected by HIV in the BVI. As the leading non-Government non-profit organization in the BVI, the Foundation advocates for the rights of people living with HIV. As an official partner, a portion of proceeds from the events of Summer Sizzle BVI 2010 will be donated to the HIV-AIDS Foundation (BVI) LTD.
