Since their inception in April of 2004, Summit
Avenue has earned the tag as one of the best up and
coming bands in the Twin Cities and Midwest.
Summit Avenue, consisting of Ben Anderson (vocals,
acoustic guitar, piano), Josh Kobow (vocals, bass),
Tony Leif(guitar, vocals) and Jeff Worden (drums),
have blended rock, pop and blues music into a single
style that has been entertaining crowds across the
midwest.
During the summer of 2005, Summit Ave appeared at the
2005 Cities 97 Basilica Block Party with Pete Yorn,
the Wallflowers, Better Than Ezra, Blue Merle, Big
Head Todd, Carbon Leaf, and Marc Broussard.
The future looks very bright for this young and
ambitious group. The band released its much
anticipated first full length album As I
Am in October. Summit Avenue chose to work with
Jacques Wait (Minnesota Music Awards Producer of the
Year 2004) on the 10 tracks that define their
first album.
The band will be back in the studio in January of '08 to start recording their second full length album.
Summit Ave gives a new energy to what seems to be a new
form of blue collar rock that tears at your soul, yet
makes you want get up and move rather than simply sit in
contemplation. With great lyrics, soulful melodies and
killer vocals, you can tell instantly that the lead singer
was born to sing this style of music!

Yes, I’m doing it again – I signed up for the 2008 Breast Cancer 3-Day! I had such an incredible experience doing the 3-Day last year that I’m going back for more. I’m so excited about this event, even though this year I really know what I’ve gotten myself into.
Last year my team, DeVaan’s Divas, and I raised $13,449. This year, my team, Rack N’ Roll, and I have raised the goal of our team to $16,000 and plan to have an incredible experience again this year, while making new memories.
Donations Appreciated
I need your help again this year. I plan on surpassing the $4,300 that you – my friends and family – gave so generously last time around to help fight breast cancer. Our team minimum is $8,800.
Two ways to contribute: 1 – Click my picture to go to my profile. In the About Me section, there is a donation icon that will take you to my 3-day personal webpage. 2 – Click the link below to be taken to my personal webpage.
The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. 100% of the net proceeds of this event go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.
Participating in this walk is a small thing that we can do to help raise money to find a cure!
Thank you in advance for your support! If you have any questions or want to hear more about what I’m doing, I love talking about the event. Thanks again for all of your support.

What's the plan if it's raining on Saturday? Are you still going to play rain, or shine? And I wanted to check and see if you guys are starting right at 4:30, or what?
