Humanism, activism, progressive politics, musical theater, hanging with my son, playing music with my husband, writing and of course, thinking.
Music
I have a music collection of over 700 albums, another 600+ cassettes, and several hundred cds. My musical tastes are vary varied! Currently finished ripping my "H" cassettes to mp3, includes Ofra Haza, Nina Hagen, Gary Haleamau, John Wesley Harding, Fareed Haque and George Harrison - just to name a few.
Movies
Favorite movies are Sabrina - both versions and of course, I can't seem to watch "American President" enough. My son's favorite movies are Winnie the Pooh and Aristocats.
Television
Current Fave: Dr. Who (2nd season)- and yes, I also like watching the ghost hunting shows. Consider those as guilty pleasures.
Books
July 2007: Currently reading Hayuk's Road to Serfdom (as part of research for a pamphlet on economic philosophy), Tristam Shandy (although I am on page 200 something and he hasn't yet been born - but we are getting close) and Lee Strobel's Case for a Creator - which was given to me by my neighbor. I am of course waiting on my pre-ordered copy of Deathly Hollows to arrive!
