All we ask is that you have an interest in anime, you're at least 16 years old (most of us are between 18 and 26 so far), and live close enough to attend regular meetings. We're in Sumter, so it wouldn't be worth it for you to travel any more than a county over. Columbia and Camden might make sense. It's really up to you. And if it is too far, start your own anime club! That's why we started this one.
The real reason for the club, much like any club, is to meet new people, develop a sense of community, and to enjoy a subject together, namely anime. It really comes down to just being an excuse to hang out and try to have fun. Some people have bars, churches, dance clubs, or strip clubs. Other people have garden clubs, scuba diving clubs, sports clubs, or poetry clubs. We have an anime club. And as far as we know, excluding USC Columbia and Lakewood having theirs (they're not indie), I don't think there's another independent club within 100 miles (correct me if I'm wrong, please.)

HEY! If you've been to the club before and I don't place you on the Top Friends list, let us know! We proudly display our fellow revolutionaries.
I may or may not show up tomorrow. I've got lots of stuff to do here at home. I just didn't want you guys to think I ditched you. I hope I can make it next week.
