The real reason for the club, much like any club, is to meet new people, develop a sense of community, and to enjoy a subject together, namely anime. It really comes down to just being an excuse to hang out and try to have fun. Some people have bars, churches, dance clubs, or strip clubs. Other people have garden clubs, scuba diving clubs, sports clubs, or poetry clubs. We have an anime club. And as far as we know, excluding USC Columbia and Lakewood HS having theirs (they're not indie), I don't think there's another independent club within 100 miles (correct me if I'm wrong, please.)
Like most anime clubs, we focus on watching and discussing anime. But, we also organize trips to conventions. If there's anything else you think we should be up to, let us know!

Im hunting for Death Note: L change the world. So far it looks to be about 90 minutes to 120 minutes long and everyone seems to want to see it. We need a movie night cause Im about 80% sure that the torrent im useing now to get it will work

Little about me. I'll watch any genre anime except the ultra-cutsey kind (Think Sugar Plum Fairy). Since I started playing WoW 3 years ago, I've watched a lot less so now I'm trying to catch up with the must-sees (aside from the commercialized, really trendy popular ones! *cough*Bleach*). I've been reading more manga then I have been watching anime, so this will be very fun! :-D
