Sigi Dresen: Piano/ Rhodes Daniel Stritzke: Electric Bass/ Double Bass Niels-Henrik Heinsohn: Drums Freiheit der musikalischen Interaktion… Das ist die Basisidee und künstlerische Herangehensweise dieses Trios. Weit entfernt von stilistischen Konformitäten und klassischen Arrangements, von standardisierten Abläufen und festgelegten Schemata praktizieren diese drei Künstler eine Form der „Triokratie". Jeder Gedanke, jeder kleinste Impuls wird aufgenommen und umgewandelt in eine spektakuläre und mutige Improvisation die ihre Basis nicht nur innerhalb von Jazz Standards findet, sondern ebenso innerhalb der Rock- und Pop- Musik. Mit anderen Worten: S:U:M improvisiert das komplette Arrangement. Jazz wird angereichert mit Minimal Music, lounge-sounds, Pop-Einflüssen und freien Passagen. Das Resultat ist ein Feuerwerk der Ideen auf der Basis einer breiten, musikalischen Tradition. Musik die sich spontan entwickelt. „Wenn Jazz Improvisation ist, dann ist das Jazz!"

    Freedom of musical interaction… This is the basic idea and artistic foundation of this trio. Far beyond stylistic codifica-tions and classical arrangements, far beyond standardized workflows and ordinary schemes, these three artists perform a kind of "triocracy". Each thought, each tiny impulse will be transformed into a spectacular and brave improvisation that is based not only on jazz standards but also on familiar pop and rock pieces. With other words: S:U:M improvises its whole arrangements. Jazz is blended with minimal mu-sic, lounge-sounds, pop-impacts and free sections. The result is a firework of ideas with a backround of a wide, musical tradition. Music, that evolves spontaneously. "If jazz is improvisation, that's jazz!"
