Yordan Pregyov or also known as Sun40 was born in May 1983. His first impact with the electronic sound was at the age of 15 when he cooperated with Mois Moshev (Monsta) and started an experimental project called "Sick Minds. Shortly, Sun40 started producing on his own. Charmed by the power of techno, his first productions were mostly at the hard end but soon he started exploring the different shapes and forms of the style. Now, the Sun40 tracks are filled with good portion of funk, more electronic ingredients and always aimed to ignite the dance floors.
Sun40 started dj-ing at the age of 16, playing mainly techno and tech-house. He had various residencies including the acclaimed TechHouse and TechnotuneZ parties and also worked in one of the first radio shows devoted to electronic music in Bulgaria. He performed sharing stage with internationally acclaimed spinners like Marco Carola, Mistress Barbara, Cave, Marko Nastic, Taaki Itoh, RedHead, Veztax, Dejan Milicevic, Pedro Delgardo, Lars Klein, just to name a few.
In 2001 he signed 2 tracks for a couple of compilations by the Czech Label TechEx under the name Sun and one of the records made it to the top selling charts of the legendary TuneInn.com online shop. In 2004 Yordan changed his alias to Sun40 and his debut two EPs came out on the Spanish label Tekktonn. The next year came the second part of his EP series and Sun40 tracks hit the top selling charts at Beatport.com! In the beginning of 2006 Sun40 signed the first release on new UK label Evolved Records, which is run by the new comer of 2005 Allan Banford (Intec, SLS, GFR)....
