Sunday Drive Bye is an Atlanta rock act that grabs it's audience with a unique brand of high powered guitar driven rock with an emotional vulnerability that's reminiscent of early 90's alternative (Pixies, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr.) and more modern day melodic rock (Foo Fighters, Death Cab for Cutie, Pinback). There is a sincere energy that emanates from what these lads do and it is obvious from the first note that vibrates to your ears, that deliberate care has been taken to craft an elegant yet sometimes ironically self-conscious musical creation. Original, yet never seeing the need to re-invent the wheel, most of Sunday Drive Bye's tunes have a ready accessibility that pricks the listener's ears with a fresh new voice.
Sunday Drive Bye has just released their first full length album ("The Subtle Art of Overkill" available on i Tunes) as well as a video featuring the first single off the album, Calling Out. (youtube)
All in all, Sunday Drive Bye just wants to be seen and heard. They believe in a time when Rock was fun, guitars were loud and music made you think a little, but always made you feel good. Maybe you saw a bit of yourself up there on stage and you left a show feeling like you witnessed something special. Whatever that is, these guys feel like they have it and they want to share it with you.
Howdy Sunday Drive Bye! I wanted to drop you a note to thank you for taking the time to listen to our music. We appreciate the gesture and are grateful that you enjoyed the material enough to add us to your community of friends. After all, having people connect with our music is why we do this. I hope you'll come by often to say hello and let us know what's happening with you, and when you have a spare moment, please visit our brand new webpage at www. crosstimbersbluegrass. com (sorry, I’m a better bass player than I am a webpage designer ha ha ha) there you can listen to more of our music and find out more about us. All my best and thank you again,

But heck at least its a comment... Right?
