I'm a bit of a lefty, but I'm more of a green. Are you doing your bit?
I like opening people's ears to new music, which tends to be old music these days. Someone needs to fix that. Wheres the good music these days?
I'm trying to learn how to cook. I started by going veggie - less ready meals. After that it was easy. Til I missed bacon too much. Now being a veggie is a distant memory, sadly. I like meat :o( Slow cooked Steak and red wine casserole or, crayfish tails in garlic chilli butter or, tomatoes and baby courgettes stuffed with Parma ham, basil and mozzarella with pasta I can do.
The minute you ask me to crack an egg and make an omelette I might break down and cry in frustration. But I've learned how to both break eggs and cook omelettes now.
I enjoy a good beer. Innis and Gunn is probably my favourite but I'm partial to whatevers on special. I drink whisky straight, it makes me manly. Ardbeg or Laphroaig, and I'm yours, oh baby.
I enjoy visual art but I'm not too fond of the scene and all of its pretentions.
I like to read on the great outdoors, in the comfort of my own bedroom.
I pray every winter for a month long snow blizzard that I know will never come. An infinite nuclear winter will have to do.
I like adventure sports. Mainly cycling - just bought a new mountain bike thats too expensive to leave unguarded, and canoeing, but I haven't done that in years. This will change soon. Hopefully.

Secondly, I'm not on a mating strategy, I do not want in your pants. Everyone looks shit naked so don't kid yourself.
Cheers. Now for the "ME" bit.
I'm Darren and I'm not pretty enough to get by without using my brain. I'm pretty sure I dont belong here because of that.
I Don't believe in materialism, ignore my dvds, games and cds.
I drink from the carton/bottle/can, and if no ones looking - the drip tray.
I like to dance drug free in the ABC, but doesn't everyone?
I spend time looking to see whats written on the food labels, but I end up buying the bad stuff anyway.
I'm not one of those high energy, zany/wacky (wanker) types who have to be the centre of everything and talk even when they have nothing to say, unless Im trying to get you to talk. If you dont talk, cheerio!
I don't do drugs, because I'm happy enough with beer and adrenaline
I try hard to stay out of the rat race, but I eat Tunnocks Caramel Wafers like the rest of the world. And I'm still skinny, RESULT!
I like watching films at the Gee Eff Tee, but no one else does, and I dont like going on my own, so I've not been in a while
I like to wish, wonder and create ideas, but usually fall short of following them through.
I may be the worst read university graduate ever, but as I'm back until September 2007 I hope to be able to change that. So far its not working, and might even be stuck in reverse
Until August you could've set your watch by my distressingly depressing daily routine of alarm clock, work, dinner and bed. Thank fuck thats all changed now.
I like lots of things you've heard about, but if I tell you them all now, we'll have nothing to talk about later, if you actually bother at all
I'm quite rubbish at keeping in contact with people, but thats natural, probably.
I have strong opinions on the things that matter. Big Brother does not matter, neither does impressing people you'll never meet.
I have a healthy hatred for advertising and spin - those things on TV? You dont NEED them. They are there to keep you stupid, and its working.
People who don't care about the environment piss me off
I might seem like a moody bastard, but you've caught me on a bad day/week/month/year when the chats been crap. So chat.
I have the smile wrinkles at 23, I like making people laugh, I have too much faith. I laugh. Although I'm now 24.
When I was bored doing my old job, I liked to search Wikipedia. Then they took away my net access. Try it, but be sneakier than me. Laughing is not normal at work, avoid laughing and you'll be fine.
Karma is when you drop your last crisp, but it lands on your top and not the floor. That crisp tastes better than any crisp you've ever had.
I over use the comma but I dont care, in 2010 I wont be here. Unless I've failed karma. Oh Canada.
Why do I sometimes feel like I have nothing to say to anyone?
Why do some peoples slideshows look like the sombre memories of friends who have since passed away?
Was I the only person who noticed the irony of the 4x4 owners complaining of warmer winters ruining the good ski conditions in Europe?
Work for the weekend? How about work for early retirement instead

All the people who have made me who I am
Flawless people, ha!
Forragers, hunters, farmers, vegetable growers, fisherman, craftsmen, home brewers, mechanics. People with real skills.
I'd also like to meet tall people, with the computer screen as a barrier. You can pretend to be tall if you want to. I won't know.
Sack it, I'd like to meet anyone.
ha found it mate, they didn't have it, blooming useless. Uni now has EMS system running, spent a whack on Ecocampus...just as I'm leaving. typical. How's work treating you?
2008 was a turbulent year to say the least. Practically the entire world's economy was put through the proverbial ringer. We have to hope and believe that 2009 will usher in a new year of stability. We all share a love of music, art and culture. And that love bonds us together and gives us strength and a sense of unity.
We've been dealt plenty of hardship in 2008-- We lost some cherished members of our closely knit music family. Musicians who will always hold a place in our hearts. Bo Diddley, Isaac Hayes, Buddy Miles, Freddie Hubbard, Mitch Mitchell, Jimmy Carl Black, Danny Federici and Ola Brunkert all passed away in 2008.
Let's try to walk into 2009 with optimism. Big Stick is continuing to mix new tracks. We're doing some music work for racing video games. We're producing some videos featuring John's artwork. Yanna's continuing to do her sculpture work in bronze. We hope that you're planning on making the most of 2009. May the world experience more peace and comfort. Let's have a New Year of health, joy and peace.
BIG STICK'S somewhat tongue 'n' cheek Holiday Message...
We understand that there's lots of folks reading this who are having a tough time mustering up the kind of "Holiday Cheer" that's often expected of us this time of year. People are enduring serious financial hardship. Thousands of jobs are being eliminated, folks are losing their homes, cars are being repossessed-- It's a difficult time for many to be cheerful.
Despite all this troubling news, we strongly recommend that we all look for divine inspiration. Take a brief moment to observe the enchanting sparkle in the eyes of that enthusiastic, though deliriously drunk individual laboring for minimum wage as Santa Claus at your local mall. Gaze into the eyes of that tanked Santa and hopefully then you'll see and feel the divine inspiration that embodies the true spirit of the holiday.
Hows it going in employment?! Need a favour, can you remember or have you get any of the stuff you had as E&E officer, I think you passed 3 things at the last parliament?!
We understand that there's a whole lot of people not feeling particularly "THANKFUL". We're not going to try to candy coat the rough times some folks are now living through. We're aware of all the folks who are either getting their hours at work drastically reduced or losing their jobs entirely. People are losing their homes to foreclosure. The environment is weeping a woeful tune. We all see the reports on TV, we all hear what's being said on the radio and we all read the dreadful outlook printed in our periodicals.
However, we hope that everyone reading this message can reach in their heart and find the people, animals, art, music and places in their life (past or present) that bring them a sense of warmth and thankful thoughts. And lets keep those in our thoughts who might be experiencing extreme hardship and are seeking additional inspiration and strength. It's normal to feel contempt for the world's merciless ills, but please try to also feel the heartfelt warmth that comes when contemplating all that is good in our life.

Cheers for coming on Friday - hope you enjoyed yourself. Shame I didn't get a proper chat afterwards - were you vaporised by the incredible dullness of Wisp?
Yes, indeed one must contact that strange (yet still loveable) fellow that we call the Reidmeister (we call him that?!).
Don't know about that sofa option- tis very kind of you though, prefer my own bed though y'see.. It will have to depend on how pooped I am after the boogey-on-down shenanigans :)
Next month any Sat. is fine with me :) Better get your dancing shoes on, big fella! xx
I'm thinking of just randomly turning up one nights clad in the usual get up.
I don't know anyone at the moment and just want to go boogey on down to some tunes where nobody knows me really...
Is sat the best night to go and can i get away with being ver tall? (I know that most girlies from your side are quite a bit on the wee side and I don't want to scare anyone with a) massive botts and being tall in general).
Thanks Darren. I might buy you a drink if you decide to come out too?
How are you? Do you ever go to the cat hoose any more?
I want to be i don't know anyone there anymore- is everyone quite friendly? Also- is there anywhere to leave my car so that when i come back, the tires won't be slashed??
No no no, it's still legal to drink on public transport don't you know. How you doing? Long time no speakie. I must stop being so rubbish on myspace these days. Do you like Glasvegas? I'm obsessed, saw them in Stirling, best gig of my puff. Met James after too, lovely man. Luv Jo xxxxxxx
