SUNDAY RECOVERY
Mirko Petrini: Vocals & Guitar. Fabio Staffieri: El.& Ac. Guitars. Alessio Barelli: Drum. Emanuele Nazzaro: Bass
Sunday Recovery formed in 2009 in Rome when the Italian composer Gianluca Cucchiara started collaborating with the singer Mirko Petrini and the guitar player Fabio Staffieri. Then Fabio Testaferrata (Drum) joined the project and at last Emanuele Nazzaro (Bass). For the release of their first CD "Coma", which contains 11 original tracks, the band worked together for about a year, almost never leaving the recording studio! Porcupine Tree bass player Colin Edwin has given a precious contribution to the project, by playing the bass on a couple of tracks, "In Front of You" and "Side C". Sunday Recovery's melodic line is intense with progressive rock sound and new metal riffs. The lyrics by Mirko, Fabio and Tancredi Gaetani who worked together with lyricist Andrew James Whelan who is also the author of 4 tracks in the CD, deal with common issues. Love, sex, politics and environment are the guiding lines for "Coma". The search for an international feel has led the band to mix the CD in London at Sphere Studios. The CD has been mixed by Frank Cameli and mastered by John Davis at Metropolis Group.
