Sunday, June 28th
Have you heard that "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell" song by Das Racist? We sort of play it on repeat and have made the Wallpaper remix of that song our new ringtone. It's going to be the new Summer anthem... which is why we asked Das Racist to come and perform at the next Summer School Matinee. They'll be playing with another NYC hipsterhiphop act, Team Facelift. Too excited to deal.
We had so much fun dancing with all of you on Sunday, June 28. Our calf muscles are looking amazing and we totally don't have to go to the gym for another week.
The two bands that performed were UH-MAY-ZING. First up, Paul & the Patients made us nostalgic for the back issues of the NME we've been hiding in storage and totes made up for the fact that we didn't get to see some of our favorite BritPop bands back in the day.
And the response to the second band, Zambri, was so overwhelming! Apart from the fact that they had the cutest group of kids watching them with oversized headphones, everyone that saw/heard them for the first time on Sunday came up to let us know how totally rad they were. Totally like nothing out there now, we're in love with Zambri and happy that you are as well.

Finally, our DJ Erica Dagley had the room dancing -- usually with our arms in the air -- to songs that we've nearly forgotten about and new gems that we currently can't stop singing to ourselves. As did the utterly adorable DerekTrainWreck who DJed everyone out til closing time.
Sunday, June 21st
I hope you were able to make it to Sunday School Matinee on June 21. Sorry it was on Father's Day... but we had such a great time dancing with everyone while DJ Suarez and DJ Josh Madden spun tunes for us. I was wiped out completely by the end of the night when my bros and I took my mom out for dinner.

And omg,
Your Nature were unbelievable. So so so so amazing. I want to see them 100 more times this month and I think I might invite them back soon to play again. Infact, I think I might ask DJ Suarez back ASAP and Josh Madden can't wait to come back. Also, DerekTrainWreck is such a great DJ... I loved all the songs he played.

I'm really excited about this Sunday's party. We will be having live performances by Zambri as well as Paul & The Patients. Our good friend Erica Dagley from the Trainwreck Tuesdays party at Angels&Kings will also be on hand to DJ.
The first 100 people to arrive will get a special gift bag worth about $100 with all these items and more:

love,
