Nothing you've ever heard before - we traverse a wide variety of musical genres. Someone likened the piece to "Once On This Island." But musically - you'll be hard pressed to find anyone else out there who sounds like Hyeyoung Kim.
MICHAEL L. COOPER and HYEYOUNG KIM met in the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program (MFA, 2004) and received the 2005 Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation, Daryl Roth, and Daniel Marshall Multicultural Awards for Sunfish. Produced at Yale University, NYUs WriteAct Festival (dir. Lonny Price), TRU Voices Series. In Seoul, Korea, Hyeyoung composed and served as musical director for "Biloxi Blues," "Crimes of the Heart," and a variety of choirs. Music degree, E-Wha University. Michael hails from Nogales, Arizona. BA (Theatre), Williams College. Member of the Dramatists Guild.
