“Die Spirale Weiter EP – A vortex of sound and visual emotions”
Arteria Music Label presents the new EP by the Swiss artists “WirSind”. Entitled "Die Spirale Weiter", it is their first production with the label. We interviewed the duo in Geneva, where we talked at length about music and the new minimal and house trends. We also talked about their latest production "Die Spirale Weiter", putting various questions to Damian Deroma and Ganeshaâ, the DJ producers behind the “WirSind” project.
Arteria: Why did you choose the name "Die Spirale Weiter" ?
WirSind: The name has a double meaning. While it is our way of emphasising the continuation of our productions, it also aims to “hypnotise” the listener, drawing them into a “spiral” of new and original sound and visual emotions.
A: Let's talk about "Another Jesus"... Is it a title representing a desire, a hope for a better tomorrow? The choice of sounds brings to mind various French-style lounge productions while remaining minimal at the same time. Is there one artist in particular who inspired you in the creation of this track?
WS: We chose the name "Another Jesus" because our aim is to introduce a new genre of music into the usual, commercial music channels; one increasingly involving a mass culture, one which is different and more open mentally. Our search for sounds for this track came from a desire to make various aspects of minimal music more “human” and less “synthetic”. Our record collection is pretty big, so it's difficult to choose one single artist that we were particularly inspired by when creating the trac
