As far as interests go, I am really into photography. I live in the perfect area for this, the landscape here is so beautiful and ever-changing. I've photographed weddings, engagement pictures, family pictures, prom and senior pictures, landscapes and nature, etc. I've always felt like I had a creative nature in me, but I was never able to create something out of nothing, like drawing, painting, etc. But when I've got a camera in my hand, I feel like I can turn something usually seen as ordinary into some extraordinary.
I am also a bookworm. I LOVE to read books, lots of different genres, but I am never disappointed by British chick lit.
I love spending time with my family and friends, especially my niece.
I coach colorguard for Traverse City Central High School - something I've always wanted to do.

I love to laugh. When someone really gets me laughing, I start crying at same time. I get excited about little things way too easily. I am married to a wonderful guy named Matt - he is everything I've been waiting for, and he loves me in a way I've never been loved before. I love my family and friends more than anything - they mean the world to me. My faith in God is an integral part of the fabric of who I am - I have ongoing discussions with God throughout every day and I listen for His guidance and presence in everything around me. I am finally making peace with my naturally curly hair - no legal arbitration involved, just a lot of products. Because I was in colorguard, I am constantly spinning things: brooms, pool cues, golf clubs, etc - I now coach a guard, so the spinning addiction may live forever. I always try to brighten the day of at least one person, every day. I sing at the top of my lungs in the car and the shower. I play handbells in church with my mom. I think nothing is more satisfying on a rainy day than a brand new book and a grande vanilla chai. I have a deep, boundless love of dark chocolate. My car, purse and room are constantly cluttered with empty film canisters from shooting too much photography. I love making care packages for my friends when they are sick. I hardly ever get sick myself. I have never had a detention in my life. I don't mind getting sunburned, even though it is bad for me (it's my one self-destructive habit). I have to remind myself to sit up straight. I am horrible at making decisions because I try to think ahead too much. I am incredibly motivated when I feel appreciated - kind words go a long way with me. Lyrics to a song are just as important to me (sometimes more) than the music. I am a small-town girl and a city girl, trapped in the same body. The grass may seem greener on the other side of the fence, but I planted flowers on my side.

Being engaged is exciting huh me and Dom got engaged about a month ago now and we are planning our wedding in Jamaica next april..ahh cant wait!
