Maikel Gutierrez was born in Ponferrada (Spain), in 1986. In the late 90s, he discovered electronic dance music thanks to many Spanish radio stations and some TV programs and was attracted to this kind of music. In early 2002 he had his first contact with trance music thanks to the Internet and many websites about this genre. Over time he listened to many tracks and sets from various trance artists and completely fell in love with this style. Maikel started DJing in 2003 and since then hasn't stopped; his life wouldn't be the same without this world of music, so today he keeps DJing and now is starting to produce some tracks.
In 2006, Maikel started his first radio-show project called "Trance Highways", broadcasted every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month on TribalMixes Radio (www.tribalmixes.org) at 21:00GMT. He tries to have a guest mix some weeks to complement his own set, which lasts about 90 minutes each episode. Quality trance music from all over the world, from the most calm and progressive records to the darkest and energetic tracks!

Hi, Sunnteck Everything well? I’m here with a new about my work. It’s the releasing of a remix I produced this summer for Future Shock Records. The track is featured by the female singer Birgit (an incredible voice, for my taste) and it has been a great honour for me to get the chance to work with this Estonian singer. In this case I’m presenting commercial dance music, not trance or electro-trance so I guess it’s an easy listening. Anyway, you have the right word.
