The band SUNRISE was founded in Kiev (Ukraine) in 2003, by Konstantin Naumenko and Vitaliy Petrichenko. Style of the band is melodic power-speed metal. The basic language of songs is English.
The subject of texts touches questions of self-realization and self-knowledge of the person, searching for the meaning of life and spiritual development and also lyrical reflections about love and mutual relations between people. Melodic construction of songs is capable of inducing the whole scale of feelings.
During the time of existence the band took part in a big number of different festivals and concert actions. Among them: Protyag Festival (2005, Kiev, Ukraine); Music Island Festival (2005, Kharkov, Ukraine); Music Fest in KPI (2005, Kiev, Ukraine); RockArea Festival (2005, Kiev, Ukraine); Premyera Festival (2005, Kherson, Ukraine); ProRock Festival (2005, Krolevets, Ukraine); Chervona Ruta Festival (2006, Kiev, Ukraine); Metal Time Festival (2007, Berezan, Ukraine); Metal Summer Fest (2007, Kiev, Ukraine);Rock Lastivky Festival (2007, Kiev, Ukraine. The band won the selection round of the festival, and vocalist of SUNRISE – Konstantin Naumenko was awarded by victory in nomination “The best vocals of the evening”); Rock-Kingdom Festival (2008, Kiev, Ukraine); Rock Autostrada Festival (2008, Bochnia, Poland -- SUNRISE has taken the third place of festival); Music Fights Festival (2008, Kiev, Ukraine), Cold Stage 2 Fest (2009, Kiev, Ukraine), Chayka Festival (2009, Kiev, Ukraine).
Also SUNRISE took part in a big number of different performances in Ukrainian clubs.
On February, 2007, SUNRISE finished recording of its debut album, called “Liberty” on Pushkin Records Studio (Kiev, Ukraine), which was released in Russia by Metalism Records.
At present, SUNRISE works on the recording of the second studio album on Black Light Studio (Kiev, Ukraine).
Most of the musical observers nowadays claim SUNRISE as one of the leaders of power metal in Ukraine.
