Jennifer takes to the studio with only a guitar & microphone to
put together a quintessential set of songs which reveals that her beauty
of talent truly runs deep. The girl-with-a-guitar era is just about
over, but I am happy to report this CD isn’t a display of this tiring
genre. Instead the listener is treated to a side of Jennifer at her
most intimate & attractively simplistic. Beautifully haunting tracks
like Floating and Trees in December are accompanied
by the hip & catchy Lemon Peels & Tangerines making
for a well-formed collection of Jennifer Matthews, possibly her very
best.
Jennifer
Matthews has had a prolific music career with six cds and international
touring including Japan, Korea, Switzerland, England U.S. etc..
Jennifer is also a very accomplished poet, recently her poems were published
in Nepal by Pen Himalaya and locally by the Wilderness Retreat writers
organization. Her book "fairytales and misdemeanors" released
by the Ibbetson Street Press of Somerville, is presently available.

Spring – Summer 2008 US Tour & Alaska
Jennifer will be leaving Boston in mid May and driving across country with her manager, Rose, en route to her summer music tour of Alaska. She will be playing shows in Arizona, California and Seattle.
"Live in Italy” DVD filmed at the Piper Club, Rome, Italy in Feb. 2008 to be released in June.
Jennifer’s performance at Rome’s famous Piper club will soon be available on DVD. Terre Sommerse will be releasing and distributing the DVD internationally as well as placing it in rotation on Italian TV. It will be available for sale in June of 2008 and can be purchased in Europe thru Terre Sommerse and in the USA thru Jennifer’s website.

"Holler Out" from her 2005 release "The Wheel"
selected for compilation CD.
Jennifer’s
song ’Holler out’ was just placed on a cd in China funded by Boston’s
own Shriner Institute raising money for treatment and rehabilitation
for burn victims. This was a musical project for Zhou Lin to benefit
the Childrens’ Burns Initiative. The CD is called Hope. To learn more
