SUNSET REGIME (aka. Rikski) started his music career playing Bass Guitar in live bands around England. It was around the same time he learnt to produce in a 48 track studio one of the bands hired for six months. The name 'Sunset Regime' incidently came to him one day from being bored whilst doing a hospital experiment in London!
In 1992 he released his first two singles on 'Rhythm & Love Records' as Sunset Regime; "Come on People", and the now classic "Ive Got the Real Feel" which featured on the first Fantasia album. The label's (which was co-owned by the legendary Love Monkey) catchphrase became- " If your gonna do it...do it with Rhythm and Love!"
He soon hooked up with Ramos and Supreme and after releasing a few tunes on Hectic Records (including 'Sunshine' and 'Gotta believe' ) they formed RSR Recordings, at the same time Sunset Regime created the well respected 'Temple of Shrieg Yaudir' studios.
'94 to '98 Sunset Regime recorded and remixed tracks with Hixxy, Force and Styles, Vinylgroover, Billy Bunter, Scott Brown, Slipmatt, and a few others mainly at the 'Temple', and together with Ramos and Supreme they created what is now referred to as the'Happyhardcore'scene.
In 1998 Hixxy and Sunset collaborated full time in a project which became 'ANTISOCIAL', and they released records on Essential Platinum, and Pure Adrenalin , all the tunes were also featured on many of the Bonkers compilation albums.
Over the years Rikski has recorded a number of projects under different names including; The Presidents Men (Strictly Rhythm), Lord Scarak (Drum & Bass), The Pumphouse Gang, The Full Time Krew (house) ... a very colourful career!
2006 started with a full aray of remixes for the THC label and hopefully many more to come from this prolific producer.
In his spare time Rikski plays around with Landrovers and Hovercrafts and is also interested in Herpetology and Arthropology. He is also an avid Dungeons and Dragons fan.
