Unlike other sketch comedy groups that spend most of
their time trying to entertain people with short
comedic skits or "sketches" the number one priority
for Sunshine Fortress is community involvement. In
the 2 years they have been together they have
spearheaded such programs as "Toys For Fat Kids" and
the "Cancer Isn't Funny It's Sad Awareness Project"
. "We've always felt that fat kids needed toys that, because of poison, they wouldn't be able to
eat," says group leader Nicole Calasich, "and
lets face it, cancer is no joke!" Group co-founder
Matt Lieb agrees, "I agree". Other members include
Amelia Kardooni, Sam Chase, Max Hartman, and Mary Van
Note, and Joe Peschi, and Jamie Lee Curtis.
