I'm really into music. My Dad came from a place that only played rock and roll for 2 hours on the radio Thursday afternoon. So he's really into music. He made sure I listened to the quality stuff.Zepplin, The Who, Pink Floyd, James Taylor, Sam Cooke, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez. Joplin the list can go on and on. I listen to the radio. I won't bore you with my list. I'm an actor it's a hard question to answer in a short form. My top five would have to be American Beauty, Gross Point Blank, Ferris Bullers Day off, The Big Lebowski, Tommy Boy. It's a weird list i know. To give you a in depth list i'd have to divide into films and movies. Dogma is another one.Television
TV is going to hell in a hand basket. The morons are playing a really stupid game and winning. Yeah whatever reality TV we'll see you on the the long trip to the middle. All the shows I like get canceled. I know what you are thinking "really Patrick???? All of them??? YES!! Seriously TV stations should pay me to not like the shows they make. Catcher in the Rye, All Harry Potter's, Profiles in Courage. The classics. I've read Treasure Island every year since I was 8 years old. It's still excellent. I also love graphic novels and comic books. I'm a little bit of a comic nerd, but I don't collect them. I buy them in graphic novel form so I don't have to wait to find out what happens, i'm not one for suspense. I also enjoy the writing on television. What does that have to do with books you ask??? Well the writing on TV that I like would be just as good if it were a book. Smart to the point, and does not assume we are dumb. The West Wing is a great example. Aaron Sorkin is one of the best writers in the buiseness.
