Happy Birthday W D. How was your night of debauchery? Don't feel compelled to answer right away, maybe take a few days to recover and think it over.

WTF!!! These are things I need to know. If it is not there or available then fine but if it is I would like to use it sometime soon. So next month I will buy pitchers of margaritas.

I posted the game on my page. Couldn't get it to look right but you get the idea.

Oh yea, drunk hand writing makes it hard to replicate accurately.

Good plan! That's about the only way I'll go back there for a while. As far as I'm concerned, Casey Moore's owes us somewhere between $100 - $150 between Kelly, Shawn, and I.

  • Books

Anything by Thor Heyerdahl, Ayn Rand, H.G. Wells, Clive Cussler, Edgar Rice Burroughs or Robert Louis Stevenson. Most anything by Jules Verne, Jack London, Spider Robinson, Rudyard Kipling, Dean Koontz, James Rollins and a few others. I've got collections on Mythology, World Religions, Ancient and Modern History, Military History, Archaeology and Anthropology, Art, Psychology and Philosophy, Travel, Whitewater Rafting and Kayaking as well as a pretty good collection of classic literature from various writers. National Geographic has a list of the top 100 greatest true story adventure books so I'm working my way through those right now.
  • Heroes

I have a short list of people that I would qualify as Heroes. First and foremost, my Father. Without his guidance and lessons throughout my life I would not be half the man I am today and I owe a great deal of my success and happiness to his involvement in my life. His death in January of 2005 was a devastating blow but the lessons I learned and the experiences we had together will last forever. Second would be Thor Heyerdahl. His dedication to his theories and expeditions was inspiring in many ways. His many books chronicling his expeditions and adventures in search for evidence to back his theories about our ancient past are a fantastic read. The history of his life truly reads like a classic romantic adventure from the world of fiction. My final admission to the list of Heroes is Theodore Roosevelt. Anyone who has studied his early history before his presidency can’t help but be impressed and awed at his integrity, intelligence and fortitude.

Blurbs

About me:

We want to face our Goliath so we may be reminded that the warrior David is alive, in us. We pray to the war gods to guide us to the walls of Jericho so we may dare the steadfastness and strength of our trumpet call. We aspire to be defeated in battles by powers so much greater than ourself, that the defeat itself will have made us larger than when we arrived. We long for the encounter that will ultimately empower us with dignity and honor.......Be not mistaken: the longing is there and it's loving and terrible and beautiful and tragic.

Who I'd like to meet:

I would love to have met Thor Heyerdahl, unfortunately he has passed away and my chance is forever gone. I'd also love to meet Aaron Ralston. I read his book about his entrapment in Blue John Canyon in Utah. Wow, what an amazing story and a very well put together book about his experience.
