Superbad is seven distinctly talented musicians - guitarists Sam Stager and Aaron Peters, horn players Steve Wilson and Jason Michaels, Bassist King Louie, keyboards/lead vocals John Marrin, and drums/lead vocals Danny Marrin - that nonetheless form a cohesive collective.
"First off, let's define our terms for you kiddies who are empty of irony and born without a sarcastic bone in your body: It's bad as in good. Like the Michael Jackson song, like Michael himself, back when he was still thrilling and not chillin' with little children. Bad like Peckinpah films, early Stones, or Guy Ritchie before he met Madonna. Not bad like Don Rumsfield, the shrinking ozone layer, the falling housing market or Guy Ritchie after Madonna. Superbad is like that.
A longtime Riverside club staple, these soul-lovers are a seven-piece band (that's right a horn section!) that stirs up a funky gumbo of diverse dance-oriented influences to get the tail feathers shaking. While they are a cover band, the originality comes in with their chops, stage presence and attitude. Their main accent is on funk; the band has been known to play in 1970's era George Clinton/Parliament get-ups with big-ass ‘fro wigs, sunglasses the size of melons and sequined bell-bottomed trousers. Their funkcentric repertoire includes such hallowed hip shakers as “Brickhouse,” “Superstition,” and “Celebration.” The band has also been known to break out new wave staples, such as old Oingo Boingo, The Clash and the Knack's multi-generational pop culture touchstone “My Sharona” (Why do I have this visual of Wynona Rider shaking her skinny white ass?)."

I have a request. Rosalita (Come out tonight) is a perfect song for Superbad. I know I know...it's Bruce Springsteen...however..just listen to it. It contains all the Superbad essential elements. Horns, up beat party sound, break downs that consist of clapping and chants that the crowd will love and a great overall feel good sound. It's perfect. A little long (7min) but worth it. Trust Me. Just listen to it. Please let me know what you think.
