FORMED IN MAY 2007,SUPERCHARGER ARE FAIRLY NEW TO THE SCENE, ALTHOUGH THE MEMBERS OF SUPERCHARGER MOST CERTAINLY AREN'T.
HAILING FROM SUCH ACTS AS, GEORDIE PUNK POPSTERS "WHATEVER", SCOTTISH HEAVYWEIGHTS "THE ALMIGHTY", LOCAL HEROES,"RUNT", "THE FLAMING EIGHTS" AND "FABLES LAST STAND" AND IRISH HARDCORE MERCHANTS"CONTRABAND", THIS LOT HAVE SEEN THEIR FAIR SHARE OF ROCK n ROLL.
THE BAND BEGAN ITS LIFE IN A BACKSTREET REHEARSAL ROOM OVER A FEW TO MANY BEERS, A BIG RIFF AND NICK AND JD'S BIGGER IDEAS.
ARAN QUICKLY JUMPED ON BOARD AS THE POWERHOUSE STCKSMAN AND WAS SOON FOLLOWED BY FELLOW NORTHERN IRELAND BASSIST PETE.
SUPERCHARGER WASTED NO TIME AFTER A SERIES OF INCENDIARY AND UNPREDICTABLE LIVE SHOWS THROUGHOUT THE UK AND COMPLETED THEIR DEBUT EP TITLED "SMASHING UP THE FUTURE" IN JUNE 2008.
THE 'SMASHING' EP SHOWS THE BANDS SOUND IS A HEADY COCKTAIL OF SLEDGEHAMMER RIFF'S, POWER-POP CHORUSES, MELODY AND DOWN RIGHT DIRTY ROCK N ROLL. THE FOUR TRACKS COVER THE EARLY BEGINNINGS OF SUPERCHARGER WITH THE LIKES OF "UNDONE" AND THE MULTI TIERED "JEKYLL AND HYDE" TO THE PRESENT DAY OF "LAWYERS AND LOCKSMITHS" AND THE SAVAGE PUNK THRASHING OF "DIFFERENT KINDA LOW".
