My favorite authors include Deryck Cooke, Norman Lebrecht and Hector Berlioz, whose Memoires are essential reading. Outside of music I read voraciously: anything by Robert B. Parker, Michael Connelly, Robert Crais, Michael Chabon and other authors whose names may not start with C. | | Heroes | See "Music." Musicians and writers are my heroes. |
